Job Safety Analysis is a tool to:

  • review job methods

  • identify hazards associated with jobs and tasks

  • initiate recommendations for safe work practices

The course emphasises a practical, results-oriented approach to job safety analysis.

Course Aims

  • demonstrating due diligence for supervisors

  • working out priorities – Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Control

  • using risk assessment to prioritise jobs requiring a JSA

  • plant inspections to view some example tasks being done and demonstrate process of developing JSAs

  • explaining the steps involved:
        -  select and describe the jobs
        -  identify the hazards
        -  document the control measures
        -  identify who is responsible
        -  monitor and review

Who Should Attend

  • maintenance personnel, their supervisors and line managers

  • other key personnel with an interest in – or responsibility for – OHS
