Dave's Fishing Articles
& Stories
I have started writing articles on my favourite sport. As they develop
I will post them here.

My first article, about drift fishing on the Hawkesbury River has been
published on the Fish Internet site. Follow the link below for a read.....
This article gives some info on how and where to
go after bream
This article is about the times when lures outfish the dead baits I use
in the estuaries. Not a regular occurrence, but a good feeling when it
happens!
Info on my first trip to Glenbawn Dam. O.k. not an
estuary - I'm branching out!
Everyone has one. You know. A story about the "one that got away".
Well here are some of mine.
Ouch!
Whilst flicking lures up a small creek that feeds into the Brunswick River,
Muzza threw his lure a little too high and snagged it in a tree. Natural
instinct it to try to pull it clear. Muzza pulled the line and dragged
the boat towards the tree to unhook his lure. We got to within about 3
metres of the tree when the lure dislodged from the tree and, whack, came
flying back to wards the boat at a high rate of knots. The result is pictured
below.......
Muzza with two out of three hooks stuck in his leg after
trying to un-snag a lure from a tree.
Muzza ended up at Mullumbimby Hospital to get the trebles cut out f
his leg. Not a good way to end a days fishing!
