Subject: Dream: Conference Offering

Dear Paula
The Lord gave me this dream around June of 2004 The Bible says that in the multitude of counsel there is safety. So I am submitting it to a few people I believe to be discerning. If the Lord should speak to you concerning it, I am waiting to receive your reply as I pray for an answer along with you.

I was at a conference, which I was presiding over. Prior to the offering being collected I spoke to the audience before the financial officials came forth to collect it.

I had a paragraph written that I showed from an overhead projector in reference to the offering about to be collected. I commented on paragraph and spoke concerning the need financially, and left it up to the audience to do what was in their hearts. It was a sacred, non-threatening, professional, no pressure, no hype approach, but nonetheless an appeal to the audience to help meet the ministry needs.

I walked behind the curtain of the stage to exit and to let the financial officials collect the offering. After I got behind the curtain, a woman minister met me; Min Iresha Hilliard. She hugged and congratulated me on the way that I asked for the offering. She said that she thought that she was the only one who raised and offering that way and other comments of this nature. She was obviously impressed, pleased and related to my approach, in addition of being relieved the way she was not the only person who conducted financial affairs this way. (This woman was Min. Iresha Hilliard the daughter of Dr. Bridgette Hiliard and her husband. Iresha and her parents are both in the ministry, preach, internationally and have their own respective television programs (two of which are on TBN and the Word Network). In my opinion they are an example of excellence in ministry.

She then proceeded to tell me that the next time that I raise an offering that I should come with my seed (money) in my hand as an example to lead the way for others to follow, as an example of what (perhaps amount?) to give.

She asked me to meet her back there later (earlier before the next service) so that she could pray for me that God would increase the financial income of the ministry, and to share with me knowledge on asking for help, as it pertains to the needs of the ministry.
So we parted with the agreement to meet later.

Thank you for praying over this dream. I agree as I sought the Lord too. It is important especially as prophets or in any ministry that we stay away from "gimmicks and don't "prophesy for money".

Hi Paula, I had this dream and not sure what it means.

I was in my church and it was offering time. I had a pocket full of money. I pulled it out of my right pocket and it was full of large bills,(50's,100's was noticeable) but I did see a 10 dollar bill and a five.

As I was getting close to deposit my offering. I tried not to let people see the other bills in my hand, when I got to the table our pastor was looking over the offering basket and I tried to pull the five out but it wouldn't and got stuck. The same time the other bills were exposed. The pastor saw me trying to pull the five out but kept the large bills to myself. I dropped the five dollar finally in the basket and went back to my seat. I was feeling real bad that I did not put any other the larger bills in the offering basket.
Then I woke up, end of dream.

We understand that the message of the dream could be for Christians in general or for a particular person with regards to general giving in church.

2. DISCIPLESHIP - Teaching Christians to discern the teaching of the Holy Spirit in the interpretation of Dreams and Visions.

With regards to interpretation, we welcome possible interpretations, alternative meanings, corrections and additions. However, there will be a flow in agreement of that which the Lord is saying in dreams and visions from around the world at particular times. Generally, postings on the List will be done in harmony with the flow of this River. Accordingly, God given dreams and visions need to be interpreted from the content and "vocabulary" of the dreams and visions themselves.

Interpretations must also be made in relation to the whole dream or vision and not to just an isolated part thereof. In this way the D&V List postings will try to avoid any particular doctrinal bias which have no credible relation to the dreams or visions posted.
