My husband dreamed that we were in a big auditorium. Our Pastor got up and started preaching chemistry. He taught as if he were a college Professor. He taught Chemistry for only a short while and then my husband said the pastor handed to the Microphone to me and I got up taught only a minute or two on Chemistry but then I started preaching. My husband said that after I preached that our Pastor then took the microphone and started preaching too.

Would you please interpret for me?

** The dream compares the teaching of an exact science of the natural visible world to the preaching of the Gospel that has more to do with the invisible spiritual world. The inference is that there is a way of teaching in the churches that is like teaching chemistry. Being an exact science of the natural world, this teaching of the scriptures is confined to the letter as written with ink and devoid of divine transcendental spiritual life. The former is entirely taught of flesh and blood but the latter can only be taught by the inspiration, revelation and manifestation of the Spirit of God.

** That which is written with ink pertains to the Word of God as it addresses sin, which is of flesh and blood and of this world. It does not transcend into the Kingdom of Heaven. The former is temporal but the latter in eternal. You and your Pastor represent these two ways of teaching and the dream is saying that your pastor can learn or needs to learn from you or from that which you represent.

2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, WRITTEN NOT WITH INK, BUT WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2Co 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

** Because it lacks divine and creative revelation, the teaching the Word of God like teaching chemistry is laboriously formal, methodical and repetitive.

Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not VAIN REPETITIONS, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

** In lacking the breath of the Spirit of God, this kind of teaching cannot bring forth divine and eternal fruit in the hearts and lives of the people. It is faith in the reality of the Gospel of Christ that quickens the ministry of the Spirit of God to reward the believer.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

** In conclusion we can say from recent D&V Lists that the Spirit of God is consistent in the declaring the new, end time work of the Spirit for the direct teaching and leading of God for His people.

Also would you pray for me. I am so restless at our Church. Our Pastor does not recognize the Prophetic gift very much but the Lord told me through a dream that I was not through at this church. I need strength and I know the Lord will provide but please pray for me to do God's will and stay sensitive to the precious Holy Ghost.

** Here is praying that God will grant you more of the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him in order to possess the Rest of God in the place and in the path that He has set before you.

Subject: dream about dishes

Dear Paula,

I would appreciate your insight into this dream that I had. I believe I have been given to understand some of what it means. I hope that whatever the Lord might give you would be able to confirm this or even expound on it a little more than I can understand:

I had this dream after going to sleep on 17 Feb. 2005. (I had fasted on 14 Feb in preparation for attending a prophetic presbytery which was to be on the 18 Feb; in particular I asked God to lead me concerning how to move forward in this new stage of my life as I am about to graduate from college - concerning a job and/or ministry, and the church I am now attending).

Dream 1
I saw myself enter what appeared to be my bedroom. It was entirely bare of any furniture and there seemed to be other people in the room but they were not the focus at all.
As I enter, right in the centre of the room is a huge stack of plates. That is, glassware like dishes. I think that only on the very topmost layer there are a very few small plastic bowls. A boy tells me that someone dropped it off for me as a present but there was so much it just kept growing into a pile on the floor. There were so many and they were piled neatly (in shape like a square base not a shaky tower stack or anything). It was an overwhelming number of dishes and I thought, even kind of sarcastically, now how I am supposed to move all of these things.

Dream 2
(Paula this reminds me of one other time I have dreamt of glassware on 21 Dec 2004.
In the part of that dream I saw myself at a store in a mall owned by a woman. She had a sign up on a shelf by some boxes of glassware that said they were free. The glassware came in three colours. They were all out of one of the colours so I get a set packed in blue and one in yellow. I picked up a something tiny to purchase because I didn't want it to appear badly that I was just there for the free things but as I took out my crumpled money and only had about $10 in my currency, I thought of what a great thing it was to get the glassware freely because I really don't have money to just buy things like that. The details are missing now but I knew in the dream that the owner of the store also used to minister formally and would fly abroad and back, e.g. one place named that I can recall is 'Orange County'.)

** The glassware in Dream 2 is a gift from a store. If the store represents the provisions of God then the free gift of glassware may have to do with ministering spiritual food and drink. The lady who is the owner and an itinerant minister confirms the free gift of God. Now, if we disregard the negativity of your attitude in Dream 1 then the glassware in that dream is confirming your ministry calling for the feeding of the people of God. Perhaps this was going to be confirmed in your presbytery leading you to wonder about what you were now going to do (I thought, even kind of sarcastically, now how I am supposed to move all of these things).

RESPONSE FROM D

Hello again Paula

Your interpretation is right. Here are just a few things that actually happened after the dream, and even after sending it to Daystar only a few days ago:

At the prophetic presbytery, the things that were spoken were things that have been confirmed to me and which the Lord has told me before, particularly from back in 2002 when the Lord really laid hold of me again. (I had been saved as a 9 year old child but pretty much remained saved without knowing God or fellowshipping with others or being in church even).

Also, one of the things mentioned was that there would be praise and worship & deliverance and healing. The Lord told me He would use me in healing many times (and has begun already to some extent) but praise and worship never came up till the 2nd half of 2004. I am naturally very afraid of going out before a crowd and too self conscious. I have never done anything publicly at church except when I was asked to pray and that in itself was new ground for me. But guess what, the Sunday after the presbytery at the end of the service the Pastor came and told me they want me to sing in the national choir (the choir composed from different branches of the church around the country)...

About the dishes for service: The pastor has come to me about 3 times in total - and the last time was that same Sunday after the presbytery - and let me know that he wants me to travel abroad with he and his ministry team in July. This is a shocking thing for me because I didnt even start attending the church till last September - after months of praying for God's leading on where I was to be; no one 'knows me' and I have never been involved in any formal ministry of any sort. (I had been at another church but never felt any real belonging). Further to that the pastor asked me if I had a job (along with my need for money to help out my parents and pay my loans/bills just one of the things I'd been praying on!!!) I told him I didn't, but that I needed one and he commented lightheartedly that it wasn't time for a job. Now, at the presbytery 2 days before I had been told about a positive cash flow and that "all that is needed will and is being provided"(!!!)

Not to be too longwinded, but there's one other thing I would like to share with you concerning my bedroom representing intimacy, hearing from God for myself and my sarcasm. At church on Sunday after I submitted this dream to Daystar, a lady from another church who prophesies (she is well known by and ministers with my Pastor at times) made a surprise visit to the service. Much to my disbelief she called me out to the front of the church and started ministering prophetically and by word of knowledge to me.

Just one of the things that she said was that God was calling me back to that place of intimacy I had with Him before and how I used to meet with Him. (This was hard to hear, but easy to admit because over the last months near the end of 2004 I knew I had stopped praying and worshipping as much as I used to. It was also something God had been alerting me to and showing me my need for since 2005 began.) The lady prophet went on that I would live for God and be used by Him to fulfill purpose.... They finally layed hands on me and prayed, during which at some point I found myself on lying on the floor. This has never happened to me before.

I said all this to say that I do believe you were right about fellowship with God as being of primary importance. The Holy has been speaking to me about ministering to God as being true ministry, and all other service to people that we may consider formal ministry just being an overflow directed by His love and purposes. My sarcasm, though quite lighthearted in the dream may indeed represent hindering attitudes that needed to be dealt with, perhaps the hesitation and delay I almost always show when new opportunities for service present themselves. I didn't even notice this till I read your possible interpretations so that was a blessing to see and get it out in the open.
