Dear Pastor Paula Cavu,

Here is my dream. I was riding in a car with my childhood best friend (Todd)
whom I'm still well acquainted. We were being driven by one of his
grandparents whose face was not clear to me, I just knew that the person
driving the car was one of his male grandparents. We were driving in the State
of Illinois which is my childhood home state.

Illinois is rich in natural resources including oil/gas and coal. Todd's dad was
the person that led me to know the Holy Spirit.

During the car ride we crossed over a bridge that
forged a river. The river was crystal clear and the bottom of the river was
one piece of stone, kind of like a waterfall. We slowed down so that the
person driving could reflect about the good times he experienced in the
river. I was wondering what the people in the car behind us thought of our
slowing to almost a stop on the highway for this man to reflect about his
past in the river.

We continued to drive down the interstate when I observed
what appeared to be twin geysers shooting up out of the ground then I
noticed that the oil wells were burning and the coal under the ground was
burning, even the oil under ground was being consumed by fire. I was
concerned watching such a precious commodity being consumed by the fire but
no one could do anything to stop the fire.

** It could be that the dream was addressing the economic situation of your state (Illinois) or country (USA). If this was so then the dream may be saying that the river of the economic progress of America is coming to a hard fall (river falling like a waterfall upon a rock). A bridge has been crossed in a major shift in world economic power and the wealth of America embodied in Babylon will burn.

The grandparent driver slowing the traffic almost to a stop in order to reflect on the past good times in the river may be saying that the good times of dominant economic growth and dominant stock market for USA are coming to an end. The strong language of the oil, gas and coal going up in smoke speaks of the wealth of your country being destroyed rather like biblical Babylon. Unfortunately for us on the other side of the world, when USA sneezes we all catch the cold!

Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

I hope it's ok Erisene led me to you. She said go ahead and submit the dream - this is his calling and gift to the body of Christ.

It's short but I remember it so distinctly.......I was playing with a bunch of children & for some reason I started to vacuum.. it was at my house in my family room & I saw a spider (like a daddy long leg). I tried to vacuum up it but it was so big it seem to stay at the end of the vacuum. Like it refused to be sucked up.

The theme of your dream that has to do with confrontation with the spiritual forces of darkness is not uncommon for Christians. My experience with spiders in visions and dreams is that they represent religions or philosophies of this world that have great potential for catching the souls of humanity in their web of seduction, deception, sorcery and destruction. This was epitomized by Babylon that is destined for judgment! We understand that Babylon represented the principle and spirit of the darkness of this world that has expression in the cultures, religions, politics, business and market economy of this world. Babylon is antichrist and is of “the god of this world.”

We live and function in this world but we are not of the spiritual darkness of this world after that we have believed and received Christ Jesus and have been spiritually translated into His spiritual kingdom of Light.

Joh 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

We are all subjected to such spirits but when it is addressed in a divinely given dream then the Lord wants us to deal with it. I remember staying over a couple of times at my brother’s place in Fiji and seeing visions of fast moving spiders crawling quickly across the wall before disappearing. His house was adjacent to the house of a Hindu priest and so my prayers for the family included protection from spiritual assertion from Hinduism. There is a god with many hands in Hinduism!

Your dream may just be prompting you to prayer, specifically against the assertion of the spirit of Babylon in your home. It is not uncommon for our home in a dream to represent our spiritual home, which is our local church. You may want to cover both in prayer if you are uncertain about which one the dream is addressing.
