Hi Paula, my wife Maria recently had this dream concerning her mother. Even
though I have attempted its interpretation it would be very much appreciated
to receive your insight and guidance.
Circumstance:
I had this dream after my husband and I had been discussing and praying about my mother’s commitment to Christ. This is because my mother was previously of Islamic faith but when marrying my father she was required to change her faith to his, which is Christianity and I sense that she may still have strong connections with the Islamic faith. All of her side of the family are still practicing Muslims, as well as my younger sister who converted to Islam from Christianity to marry her husband.
Dream:
18th Sunday April 2005
On Sunday night I dreamed my parents were riding together on their motor bike with my mother sitting behind my father (as they often do in real life). All of a sudden I heard an unusual intensive noise (as though there was an accident but of which I didn’t see), in an instant I saw both my mother’s legs had been lopped off at the knees.
Straight away I was shaken up and as fast as possible my father and I brought her to a big house. This house was like a palace having two stories; upstairs and downstairs, also at the house was a woman, which seemed to be like servant. She seemed a bit old, her dress was simple and her hair was a bit messy (and although she never spoke she continued to watch what was happening). I felt very sad seeing my mother’s condition as did my father, however, my father and I were still calm to be able to care for her.
Then suddenly my mother was sitting in a wheelchair (where it came from? I don’t know). Then in the dream, even after all that had happened, my mother was visibly happy and smiling being in that luxurious house and sitting in the wheelchair which my father was faithfully pushing wherever my mother would go.
** This dream is about Maria’s father and Maria on one hand and the
mother on the other. From the background you shared, this translates to Christianity
and Islam where Maria’s mother may not be an absolute Christian yet.
The dream is saying that a major event will take place (explosion/accident)
that is going to stop the mother from going back to Islam (legs lopped off
in the explosion/accident). The event will cause the father and the family
(Maria) to treat the mother or care for the mother lovingly in a genuine Christian
way. This will make her feel the spiritual and relationship luxury of her home
(like a palace). This is going to win her to be totally Christian and cause
her not to return to Islam.
The quiet lady with unkempt hair in the house who just looked on may be portraying
how the mother has been feeling in her marriage and in the family for a long
time. That is, she has been as a servant who did not have much time and opportunity
to look after her looks and who was not able to speak and share much in the
important conversations of the family.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. Well, my interpretation was way off the
mark - but that's ok, I'll just keep on pressing in. Maria says that your interpretation
is spot on concerning the way her mother and has been treated in her marriage
and by family members (Maria herself included). Maria is amazed at the accuracy
of revelation about her mum's on going situation, and even more amazed that
God has shown his love and concern by giving her this dream. She says that
she will now wait and pray and just believe for God to fulfill His promise
regarding her mum. This dream has really lifted Maria's spirit and motivated
her in the things of God.

Hi Paula,
Here are some dreams that my wife Maria has had over the last week. I get excited when she dreams because it provides opportunity for me to exercise the senses for interpretation. Is it ok if I send you our dreams and possible interpretations for your guidance? Thanks so much for your time and attention. Here are the dreams that Maria had along with my interpretations.
Circumstance:
Maria had this dream after we had discussions about reading the bible. She has had very little exposure to the written "word" in the past so we tried to organise a small reading program for her. Maria suggested reading a few paragraphs a day or every two days, of which I was very pleased with.
DREAM 1:
20th Wednesday April 2005
On Wednesday night I had a dream that I was washing a lot of clothes. I was washing my clothes by hand in the public washroom (this dream took place in my home country of Indonesia), but when I had finished washing my clothes and placing them on the floor of the washroom I put my hand back into the water and at that moment I raised my hand again to my astonishment, I found my hand already full with my clothes again. Then I washed these clothes and put my hand again to soapy water to make sure no clothes were left. Oh! Again, I took my hand from the water and it was full of my underwear.
I felt very sad and a little bit scared because two
women were already waiting outside to wash. They called out to me to quickly
come out of the washing room
because I had already been in there a long time washing my clothes. At that,
I angrily came out of the washing room called for my younger sister "Christina" (though
she is younger, she is bigger than I and had often stood up for me) and challenged
the two women to a fight, but when I mentioned my younger sister's name they
quickly became scared and left me
(I knew these two women knew my sister).
# washing often speaks of washing by the word of God.
Eph 5:
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the Head of the
church: and he is the saviour of the body.
23. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to
their own husbands in every thing.
25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave
himself for it;
26. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the
word,
27. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot,
or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
# as this dream was received after a husband and wife discussion regarding
reading the bible, it may be revealing is may be an encouraging word from God
concerning the wife's bible reading.
# the washing by hand may be implying that the cleansing that will take place
will be hands on so to speak, personal involvement. However, because the washing
is being done in a public washroom it seems this cleansing process could take
place in public, such as in a husband-wife relationship.
# the washing of underwear may speak of a deep cleansing work (those things
hidden or deep within that God will bring to the surface so that they may be
cleansed as well).
# the last lot of clothes to be washed in the dream was the underwear, from
that moment there were certain behaviours of anger, fighting etc. Perhaps the
washing of underwear may pertain to the cleansing of inward things such as
anger, fighting and manipulating situations (first the dreamer was scared then
turned it around by calling her sister and wanting to fight the two women because
the dreamer knew the two women were scared of her
sister).
DREAM 2
Circumstance:
The other night my husband Russell and I talked about reading the bible. The
next day I read a few chapters of the bible and found things hard to understand.
I mentioned to Russell that I wanted to understand the bible and that I wanted
the Holy Spirit to give me the understanding. He said to me that we will
have bible studies together based on Daystar ministries teaching (Heavenly
communion in the conscious state) where we both
learn to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit as he teaches us God's word. (We
have already started these bible studies).
Dream 2:
21st Thursday April 2005
On Thursday night I dreamed that I was carrying a basket full of apples. I don't know where I got them from but I was exceedingly happy carrying them down the main street. I also desired eating them because I felt hungry and the apples were very red in colour and tempting.
# looking at this dream in the light of the circumstances, the apples may
speak of the direct teaching of the Holy Spirit (receiving understanding from
God), which made the dreamer exceedingly happy
# The apples being very red could be relating to the connection between; cleansing
(overcoming by the blood of the lamb) and the teaching of the Holy Spirit.
# the dream reveals the dreamers hunger to be direct taught by the Holy Spirit
and that the His teaching is very desirable (tempting).
# Carrying the apples down the main street could be addressing that the way
to be taught of the Holy Spirit by means of Daystar's "Heavenly communion
in the conscious state" is the way, the main way.

Hi Paula and Scott,
I just wanted to point out something that struck me about this dream. In my
experience water in motion in dreams often portrays a move of the Holy Spirit,
and indeed this is what the dream is about. Todd represents believers who
have enjoyed the "River" movement of the Holy Spirit in these days,
but there is a twin move of the Holy Spirit coming (two geysers), which will
be intensified partly by the heat of judgements coming upon the world. I
believe the recent earthquake and tsunami, and the current revival occurring
in these areas, is a first example of this happening. The coming moves of
the Holy Spirit, accompanied as they are by fiery judgement are going to
be powerful, of a people "underpressure," it
will literally be as unstoppable as Old Faithful in Yosemite park and will be
fueled by an
unprecedented level of anointing (underground oil, gas and coal)! Sandy
