Response from Pastor Hennie Roetz to D&V List Nos.1093 and 1091

** I wonder whether you received this dream (received on June 24) after reading and pondering on the ‘doctrine of self-esteem’ in D&V List No.1091 (sent on June 21). If so then it is clear conclusive confirmation that the doctrine is of the unfruitful works of darkness relative to the Light of the Gospel of Christ. DV List 1091 is incredible. Edie and I want to take some time and ponder the full implication of the content. Thank you so much.

Hi Paula,

I seem to be having a lot of dreams to do with bathing.
The last dream I had wearing a blue toweling bath robe, and now again.

I love to read other peoples dreams that God has been blessing them with and it is so exciting to see the outpouring of his Holy Spirit, and what he is saying to the church today.
God Bless.
This is last night’s dream.

I was on a bus with a lot of people. I ended up getting off the bus at my hometown place. I wandered around and was suddenly at the train station. I was wearing a shower cap on my head and carrying a bath-towel. As I was sitting on a seat at the station I felt there was a lot of crime and evil around. These two burly men were walking around as protectors of the station. I saw the station line, close to the town where I now live, where I was meant to be on, and I awoke after that.

** This dream might just be loudly proclaiming the need for cleansing (in public with shower cap and bath towel) in a church group (on the bus with people). Many repeated dreams of the need for bathing might imply that the word is for the larger church denomination and it is happening now. The blue (colour of the Holy Spirit) bathrobe and towel reveal that this is a work of the Lord in preparation for the move of the Spirit (waiting at the train station).

** In your response below, you alluded to the need to understand and implement the written biblical doctrine of water baptism. This is great insight.

Hi Paula,

Actually when I read your email, something did click.
I go to the Uniting Church, and they don't believe you have to get baptised again after you have been christened as a child. I believe the Lord for some time has been placing it upon their hearts and mine that this is symbolic of dying to old self and rising to the new self through Jesus.

I have been getting Mathew !6 for some time and I think you have confirmed what God wants done.

The other dreams about God showering his blessings (gold coins) etc are coming true. My husband and myself have struggled for many years financially, and my husband is finally getting justice down and receiving some compensation for a hit and run, that God is still bringing healing to him for.

Thanks Paula for you ministry and God Bless.
Linda

Subject: Dream: Preach gospel/then saw a map

I have received this dream which I believe to be of a personal nature rather than for the body of Christ and relying on your feedback concerning the credibility of the interpretation. Apart from what I believe the Lord has spoken to me about; ministering in the top end of Australia, I am also curious whether the numbers within the dream are significant or if I am trying to read too much into it. I do find it interesting that I would dream that I had a dream 5 times as well as having a feeling that the numbers are of some value to the interpretation.

Circumstance: No particular circumstances except that I received this dream on the night of my birthday.

Dream: Preach the gospel to the poor/I then saw a map of Australia

24 Friday June 2005

In the dream I dreamt that I had received a dream (the same dream) 5 times. I didn’t actually receive the dream 5 times but only dreamt that I had. I thought to myself in the dream that this particular dream must be from God because I had received it 5 times. Then I began to wonder what this dream was about; it concerned 3 men (the impression I had was that they were possibly friends and possibly in ministry), of which one of the 3 men was called to minister to the wealthy, another which was myself had to preach the gospel to the poor people of Australia. I then saw a map of Australia with the borders of all the states however my attention was mainly focused on the top end of the Northern Territory. In the dream I remember hoping that it would have been given somewhere more exotic and not Australia, nevertheless I was very aware of the importance of the calling and felt steadfast to my task in which I had been committed with the word of reconciliation to bring the lost back to God. Nobody in the dream told me to preach the gospel to the poor; it was something that I just knew it was for me to do. I only knew of the first 2 callings of the 3 men because when I became aware of what I was to do, the dream ended or I woke up.

# The dream could be relating to a work of the ministry in the future that will take place within Australia and mostly in the Darwin area (my attention was mainly focused on the top end of the Northern Territory) and that the ministering may possibly be of an evangelising nature (had been committed with the word of reconciliation to bring the lost back to God).

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because HE HATH ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

# Sometimes numbers within dreams may also have specific meaning in the context of the dream and focusing on the meaning of numbers within this dream may also bring further support for the interpretation. As this dream is related to the work of the ministry such as the preaching of gospel, the meaning of the 5 dreams could be bringing attention to the 5 fold leadership ministries. If this is the case, perhaps the calling within the dream may be with the anointing of one of these 5 ministries, such as evangelist for example (bring the lost back to God).

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Eph 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, FOR THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

If the figure 5 is significant to the interpretation of the dream, we can assume that the number 3 may also have some meaning. Perhaps the 3 men may be emphasising the number 3 which is relevant to the Godhead; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. If so, and in the context of the dream, the figure 3 would also be bringing our attention to the great commission to go and teach all nations which we have received from the Lord.

Matt 28:19 GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, baptizing them IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST:

Matt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

COMMENT BY PAULA CAVU

** The basic message of the dream concerning your calling to preach to the poor in NT was straightforward. As you know, receiving the same dream two or three times meant that the message was established of God and it would take place soon. This is credible and this is all you need. Numbers 5 and 3 may or may not be significant in this dream but if you are going to interpret them then they must have credible connection in the context of their usage in the dream.

Connection to the ‘five fold ministry’ is there in the ministry calling but the repetition of the dreams five times relates more to emphatic witnesses (repetitions) that the dreams and message are of God. In the dream the 3 men had God’s ministry calling upon their lives. In this context I would opt for them to possibly refer to a ministry team of 3 men that you would be part of and you would all be looking after different aspects of ministry. For the 3 men to refer to the Godhead is way out of context. The application of the biblical ‘three wise men’ as in a ministry team is closer and more credible in the context and harmony of the whole dream.

Hey Russ, I will be interested to know if you can honestly see where I am coming from. I disciple folks on the Internet and the mystery nature of dreams is such that I wonder if I made any sense to them in areas such as numbers.

RESPONSE FROM RUSSELL

Hi Paula, thanks so much for such a quick reply concerning the interp to my dream. When I was considering the meaning of the numbers I purposely put what I thought was their significance at the bottom of the basic and straightforward message of the dream because, as you said the basic message was all I needed. I knew I was pushing the limits of my ability to interpret when it it came to the numbers but I feel it was a profitable exercise in that from your elucidation of the numbers I can see more clearly or rather understand more clearly even though the Language of the Spirit is like a flowing river and doesn't have fixed meanings attributed numbers, symbols etc.

When interpretation truly is from the Spirit of God there is always a credible connection to the context of the dream. This exercise has really helped me to focus on one of the main error that I make when interpreting dreams and that is; when I don't have an interpretation (from the Spirit) of a number or symbol for example because it is not in harmony with the message of the dream it self, it seems that I try to negotiate the meaning. As soon as I read your interpretation I say to myself "yes, that's it, it makes so much sense", however, when I try to negotiate the meaning this is not from above and I am merely trying to apply my own problem solving skills.
