September 2002 Daystar Ministry Fiji report in dreams received
Instruction in a dream to go to Fiji
Job 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the
night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Job 33:16 Then he openeth the ears of men,
and sealeth their instruction,
2002 July 17 Dream by Paula: Request to come to Levuka town
Circumstances:
I have been considering going to minister in
Vanua Levu in Fiji as had been tentatively agreed to in my last trip there.
Levuka is the only other town on another island called Ovalau apart from
the towns on the two main islands.
Dream:
I was visiting in the town of Levuka in Fiji
and the streets were crowded with people. While making my way through the
crowd I ran into a man from my island. He said that they had heard about
Daystar Ministry would like to get me to come and speak at their church.
I told him that I will consider the request at a time that suits my schedule
as I was busy at the time.
There was a lot of activity that had to do with people going to and fro across the sea between Levuka and the Mainland.
** The dream is revealing the Lord’s instructions to go to Fiji and particularly to the town of Levuka on Ovalau island. Crossing the sea from Levuka to the Main Land can correspond to Old Testament Israel’s crossing of Jordan to the Promised Land or The end time Church’s journey through the ministry of the Cross into the Promised Land of intimate fellowship and communion with God. It is the latter which constitutes the ministry of Daystar in Fiji.
Dreams in Savusavu town on the island of Vanua Levu
2002 Sept 05 Dream by Paula: Revealing things to come concerning itinerary hiccup
Background:
I will be leaving Lautoka for Savusavu tomorrow
to begin ministry there.
Dream:
I was interacting with two couples living under
a bridge, one of whom was a solicitor from whom I had to obtain a license
like a driving license. (He turned out in real life to be the new secretary
for the national AOG organization.) In the dream he was the one who approached
me and was the pastor of the Fijian AOG church in the town of Labasa. The
other couple was fair skinned rather like part Europeans who were quiet
and just stood around. (In real life this pastor turned out to be
the one looking after the Fijian ethnic AOG church in Savusavu. His skin
was fair in real life like a part European.)
I understood that I had two old cars one of which I could give to the solicitor. Then I realized that they have not been used for a long time and were most likely not registered. They were parked in the car park of a residential block of units.
I went to see the cars and decided to see if one of them worked. It started okay but the engine was rough and control was also rough. Around the corner was a steep hill so I turned the car around because I figured that the old car would not be able to climb it. I was worried about its parking place as others could use it.
I left the car and walked into town. When I turned the corner and walked down another street I found that I could have taken a short cut across through a street that I had not seen. Walking further down I saw a street that was so steep it would discourage folks from using it. I kept walking and saw further down normal streets that I could use.
Interpretation:
The dream is revealing how I will be relating
to two pastors of two churches with regards to joining together (living
under a bridge) to do the work of he ministry. The pastor of one church
will be like a solicitor who will be seeking to do things by the book and
the other pastor will be fair skinned (like a part European).
The license that I had to obtain from the solicitor turned out in real life to be his requirement for me to get a letter of release from the AOG headquarters before I could minister in the ethnic Fijian AOG churches in his district. He called me on the phone to relate this message on 09 Sept.
My two old cars in the dream refer to my previous two trips to some of the ethnic Fijian churches which I referred to in my discussion with the solicitor pastor. However, he ignored this and stopped me from coming to minister in his church in Labasa. This could be the steep hill in the dream that discouraged folks from using it. The solicitor pastor also stopped me from completing the second night of seminars at the Fijian AOG church at Savusavu suggesting a typical old order church opposition to the new or end time church order ministry of Daystar.
The short cut in the street that was hid from me refers to the alternative itinerary arrangement in two Indian ethnic churches in Labasa that had to be made after ministry to the two ethnic Fijian churches were stopped. Interestingly, Daystar Ministry has a mandate from God to minister to Indians in India and Indians living in countries like Mauritius (two thirds of the population is Indian) and Fiji (40% of the population is Indian).
2002 Sept 07 Dream by Paula: Revealing beforehand that there will be a blockage to my itinerary
Circumstances:
Called the pastor of the Fijian AOG in Labasa
today and discovered that my ministry arrangement at his church had not
been confirmed. Two days later (09 Sept) the pastor called to say that
the ministry will not proceed at his church.
Dream:
I was driving down a hill in a vehicle with my
family on a narrow, steep and windy road. We turned a corner by a house
and there was a new van parked on the other side of the road. It was too
late to stop and so I had to squeeze past the van, scratching both contact
sides of the two vehicles. I could not be bothered stopping as I was frustrated
that the foolish driver had parked at that spot.
** Driving down a steep hill on a narrow windy
street = describing the path of my ministry itinerary in relation to the
Fijian AOG church pastor at Labasa.
** New van parked in the way = a ministry in
a new position (Labasa Fijian AOG pastor in his new position as secretary)
that is going to provide an obstacle to my itinerary.
** Scratched both cars = there will be a confrontation
(fulfilled in our phone conversation two days later)
** I did not stop but continued on = The pastor
will not stop the ministry and the work of Daystar Ministry will continue.
(In real life the Indian AOG pastor at Savusavu made alternative arrangements
in two Indian churches in Labasa for Daystar seminars).
2002 Sept 12 Dream by Paula: Alienation and accusation from AOG leadership will subside and stop
Background:
I took one session in the Fijian AOG church at
Savusavu last night. This dream revealing things to come followed.
Dream 1
I was with a group of folks much like the Daystar
Team in a township. Someone shared how a new church was going to be started
and we were all going there. When we arrived at the school hall where the
meeting was to take place, there was no one else there. We were surprised
that no one was there except ourselves.
** A schedule for a Daystar meeting will not take place. (fulfilled the next day when the fair skinned local pastor called to say that he had to abide by the directive from the pastor at Labasa to stop my meetings)
Then the pastor and a few folks arrived. I was so surprised to see that it was Ps Taylor. It appeared that he had just come from another place where he was rejected and he had moved into this area. In real life Ps Taylor had done something which alienated him from the church he had established and now he was ministering in recovery for his ministry.
** Like Ps Taylor, Paula will be alienated from his fellow Fijians but will continue in the work of the ministry.
Dream 2
I was in a house where all the curtains in the
lounge was drawn. For some reason a lady was there and she was washing
my body with a sponge as a nurse would do with a patient. I decided to
go to a more private part of the room because of the opened curtain but
a man arrived and he started accusing us of immorality. I then tried to
explain to him why this was not immorality although it could readily be
interpreted as such. The man was obstinate and made a big issue of it in
the community. At last I told him that the curtains were wide open and
nothing was hid that was going on so that it could not be immorality but
just washing of my body. The man believed this and his attitude and accusations
ceased.
** There will be some accusation of false teaching (immorality) in reaction to the washing of water by the word that constitutes this work of the ministry. The dream is saying that this accusation will only subside and stop when the doctrine of Daystar Ministry is made known clearly and nothing is hid. (To this end the two Daystar books given to leaders of churches should contribute greatly).
2002 Sept 06 Dream by Margaret Basdeo (wife of pastor): Revealing the purpose of Paula’s ministry before he arrived
Background:
Dream received on the night before Paula arrived
at Savusavu. We have never met him before.
Dream
My father was with the family guiding and instructing
in the cutting of steps into a hill so that we can make our way down to
the lush green valley below where there was a pure crystal clear stream
flowing.
As we came around the side of the hill, it was steep and difficult and a bridge-like structure had to be built. There was a lot of activity under my father’s guidance and I could hear chain saws cutting down trees for the poles and wood needed for the bridge and for the steps. We were making our way down to the valley and to the river. My father had on his favourite brown shorts.
(When I was telling Paula about this dream he wore a brown pair of shorts.)
Rev 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
** It has been established that the pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal symbolized the divine thoughts, words, wisdom, understanding and knowledge proceeding from the mouth of God that believers can tap into for the direct teaching and guidance of the Spirit of God which is truth and no lie.
The ministry of Daystar that Paula is bringing has to do with teaching and discipling in the way for believers to come to this river and to actually drink from it (instructing in the building of steps and bridge leading to the river). With regards to understanding Christian dreams and visions, Paula of Daystar Ministry is like a father (father of the dreamer).
1Jo 2:26 These things have I written unto
you concerning them that seduce you.
1Jo 2:27 But the anointing which ye have
received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you:
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and
is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Joh 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her,
Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the
water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall
give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting
life.
Jer 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth
in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Jer 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted
by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall
not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be
careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
2002 Sept 08 Dream by Ps Zadok Basdeo: Confirming the huge fruitfulness of the seminars
Circumstances:
Following the second session of Daystar seminars
by Paula at our local church.
Dream:
I dreamed that I was back at the Primary School
that I attended in real life. It was recess time and I was with some of
the students at a favourite resting spot under some trees. I was
standing up and holding a huge ripe fruit that we were all admiring.
** The Primary School is indicating that you are learning something new from the seminars. The Lord is encouraging you and the folks of your church about the fruitfulness of the Daystar Ministry seminars in this dream. Clearly, the Lord wants the fruit of this ministry to be established in the church.
Daystar Fiji News 10 Sept 2002 from Savusavu
Hi folks:
There are two places in town where the public
has access to the Internet. They are mostly used by tourists many of whom
sail into the harbour in their yatchs. At 35 cents per minute, not many
locals use these facilities.
The flight from Nadi to Savusavu last Friday was wonderful as the 14 seater plane flew low over the volcanic and coral islands and the reefs. Some views of the reef reminded me of the Great Barrier Reef. I can see why so many folks not only come to Fiji for holidays but quite a number have bought land and built holiday homes and resorts. This effectively meant that the prices of much of the well located land have blown out of the local affordability orbit. $250,000 AUD can get you a mansion on a paradise South Pacific spot.
Savusavu is a truly beautiful little town of about 4,000 people located on a sheltered bay that is a haven for overseas yachts. I am staying with the pastor whose house is only 15 steps to the sea shore. Very few locals fish the bay as they all seem to just rely on professional fishermen for their fish. The Chinese guy and his wife next door just fish in the water before us and in one hour he catches a large basin of fish. He even spear fish about 20 meters from the sea shore before us. He gave us a couple of good sized fish last night that he caught in this water and it was promptly curried.
I began ministering on Sunday morning at the Indian speaking AOG church (membership of about 100) and the folks warmed to the teaching readily. As usual my arrival and teaching was announced through a dream that the pastor’s wife received on the night before I arrived. The session last night was typical with the folks continuing to worship the Lord with praise, thanksgiving and tears for some time after the teaching. I was a little concerned for the young folks who had to go to school in the morning. They were the group that I used much in demonstrating the direct teaching of the Spirit in the interpretation of scripture and dreams. This way of teaching is very new to the folks and the interest, hunger, fulfillment, excitement and awe that is characteristic of this ministry was evident.
2002 Sept 21 Daystar News from Levuka town
Greetings folks:
Well, I have basically finished my itinerary to the two towns of the island of Vanua Levu and the town on the island of Ovalau. It has been another wonderful ministry trip with the folks being very excited and enlightened in hearing and knowing God in the way of Daystar teaching and discipleship.
The town of Levuka on Ovalau island is well known for being a very difficult place for Christian work. Interestingly, it was the first town and capital of Fiji when the English came and made it a crown colony back in the latter part of the 1800’s. It therefore had the only freemason building in Fiji that I have seen. This building was burnt down during the last coup.
On my first night in Levuka I went into a struggle with some forces of darkness during my sleep so it was clear that the spirits that be regarded me as a threat. It rained a lot during the first two night sessions but a good number of folks turned up. The word about the ministry went out after the first night and progressively more people attended as the meetings continued and dreams started to flow. We had good weather for the third night.
After the second night of seminar I had a dream that revealed a grove of witchcraft and demonic activity being arrayed against Christianity and especially pastors (see dream below). The AOG church there has had a quick succession of pastors coming and going. Another young man had a dream with a similar message to mine (see dream below) and then I was confident that the spirits of freemasons was active in Levuka against Christian folks. Apparently the freemasons were meeting at a house on a hill overlooking the town. On the last night we prayed to break the power of freemasons and gods of the land in this town of Levuka.
A single young lady with a child also had recurrent dreams involving a pig (symbolizing a tribal demon god) and she began to get really sick after the first and second nights of seminars. Early in the morning of the third day she sent her son to my hotel as she could not get out of bed. I went and prayed for her and we prayed for her again at church that night. Next day she walked all the way to the airline office (about one kilometer) to see me off as she was much better.
As the word got out about the meetings some folks were coming to the hotel to ask me to go and pray for sick folks. On my last night a group of us went to the hospital to pray for folks there. There really is a lot of spiritual forces working against Christians in this town, but as God revealed it we prayed against it and we are believing for a breakthrough by the churches henceforth. Levuka was certainly different from the other two towns on Vanua Levu.
2002 Sept 18 Dream by Paula: Revealing the work of a grove of witchcraft
Circumstances:
I began seminars at Levuka last night during
a time of great rain.
Dream 1
I was walking down a dirt tract on a hilly countryside
with two young men. Others were following behind us. As we approached a
small stunted tree we walked right into a nest of snakes that were in the
shape of leeches but they can uncoil or extend into the appearance of snakes.
They were all around us and we stared at them fascinated by their ability
to turn from leech to snake. One came threateningly at us. I told the men
to stand still as the snake reared its head dangerously around us. I thought
about how to get rid of it and considered hitting it with a stick. Somehow
a fire was lit on a patch of dead grass and sticks and I picked it up and
burnt the snake. With the fire we were able to fend off and kill the snakes
in our path.
** Walking dirt tract = path of ministry in Levuka
** Stunted tree with nest of leeches/snakes =
grove of witchcraft (freemasons, gods of the land) from which evil spirits
work to suck the spiritual life (life in the blood) from people coming
to minister in Levuka
** Snake rearing to attack us = spiritual warfare
against the work of the ministry
** Provision of fire = God’s provision to destroy
the enemy in the powerful word of the Spirit in the teaching of the seminars
Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
Psa 118:12 They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
We walked further down the tract and I realized that I left my white walking shoes (as in real life) back where the nest of snakes was. I asked one of the young men to get them and he left. He came back holding one old white sand shoe that had been left in the area previously for some time. I could see the other shoe of the pair under the long grass. I decided to go and look for my pair of shoes myself. As I approached the area of the leeches and snakes I quickly and easily found my shoes right on the tract. The young man who came looking for them did not see them for some reason.
** Left white shoes at grove = the grove of witchcraft
works to take away the power of the ministry of ministers
** Young man could not see my shoes = Powerful
witchcraft spell working on Christians not yet mature in the revelation
abilities of the Spirit
** I was able to see and retrieve my shoes =
Greater power is in the HS in Daystar teaching then in him who is
in the world and of the world
** Old pair of sand shoes in the grove = A previous
minister lost the power of his ministry by the works of wickedness and
could not retrieve it (in real life, pastors do not seem to be able to
stay in the AOG church at Levuka for long.)
Dream 2
I was now at a sports area that had two or more
grounds. A rugby team of young men was being assembled and my son David
was a member of the team. They were short of players and I was asked to
play for them. I wondered about playing at my age but I went along with
the proposition. While the team was assembling, David was refereeing a
game on the far ground. I was with him and when the time came for me to
put on my rugby uniform I realized that I left two pairs of black rugby
shorts lying around here somewhere from a previous game. One was a small
old one and the other was a big new one that fitted me. When I found them,
the big shorts was wet. I looked over to where our team was assembling
and saw that they were warming up as there were only a few minutes before
the game started. David was still refereeing and was about to finish. I
decided to put on the pair of wet shorts and get ready for the game.
** Joining rugby team to play an opposition = Daystar Ministry in Levuka joining the local church to fight against witchcraft opposition against the work of the ministry
** Old small shorts that does not fit me = correspond
to old sand shoes and portraying old church order that could not see nor
overcome the work of the enemy
** New wet shorts that fitted me = New order
ministry of Daystar wet with the water of the rains and anointing of God
** My son David = Someone in the church whom
God has called to be a minister of the new church order in the Daystar
mould and who is involved with another church responsibility
2002 Sept 18 Dream by a young man: Giant snake in the sea
Circumstances
Dream received on the night after the first session
of the Daystar seminars which the Mum and Dad of the dreamer attended.
Dream
I was swimming with my brother in the sea by
a reef and some rocks on which Mum and Dad were sitting. I looked down
to the sea bed and saw this giant snake moving up towards us. I yelled
out to my brother and we swam as fast as we could towards Mum and Dad.
When we reached Mum the snake emerged of the water but Mum stomped on its
head and crushed it beneath her feet.
Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the
serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle,
and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust
shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between
thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise
thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
** If we regard this dream as agreeing with my previous dream of the same night, then the huge snake under the sea is depicting the powerful spirit of freemasonry that pervades many nations of the world (Rev 17:15). This is the spirit that resides in the town of Levuka and which is working against the work of the ministry there.
Final Report: Assessment of the ministry in Fiji
Dear Daystars:
As planned before I went to Fiji, I discussed
with Ps John Dass (CEO of Pentecostal Church) and Ps Hemraj Mangal (Overseer
of Indian AOG churches) about the fruit of Daystar Ministry in their people.
Both mentioned how the folks are sharing dreams and having some interpretations.
However, when I asked about the practical discipling of
the people to actually hear the Holy Spirit teach
scriptures and inspire dreams interpretations, there was no such program
in existence. The teaching about hearing God directly is taught in the
way other subjects are taught from the pulpit and this is about where things
are at.
I told Hemraj that there is a need for the leaders to go all the way in causing the people to hear the Holy Spirit directly as a foundation to the new church order or they may not enter into it. He said that their leaders need to be further trained before leading others to hear the Holy Spirit. In this way it is clear that church leaders still lack confidence in the process of stepping into this water ankle deep, then knee deep and finally to swim in the total teaching and leading of the Spirit. Herein is room for further Daystar input into these churches and another trip is being planned for the end of the year.
Anyhow, the trip was another wonderful Daystar Ministry trip to churches who have not yet heard us. There has been some opposition from the old church order but this was only to be expected. The Spirit revealed things that happened later so all was fine!
