Local church journey to the Promised Land
Date: 02 Aug 2011
Dreamer: Nikita
Dream 1
The first dream I saw that I am with my whole church in a hotel. The scenery
is that of a desert and we have to travel so many miles to reach a beautiful
sandy beach and the journey is of a desert just like the sand dunes.
** The journey and destiny of your local church is akin to that taken by Old Testament Israel through the wilderness and into the Promised Land. The holiday place of the beach portrays the Rest of God where God’s will and works are done in the place of the will and works of mere human beings.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his
own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall
after the same example of unbelief.
This is the place where believers are directly taught and led by the Spirit of God so that they are the sons and daughters of God.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
But in this first dream we have reached the beach and have enjoyed the swim and we are making the journey back to the hotel. We do not get to reach the hotel; it’s just that we travel back with towels and utensils that we had taken for the swim. We are making our way back in a single line and everybody looked tired. That is when I awoke and the dream ended.
** People of your local church under Pastor Hemraj Mangal have been brought into this Rest of God before when the people were united in one mind and purpose. This was in the birthing of the church a few years ago and during the building of the new church building that opened last year.
Dream 2
The second dream was Sunday afternoon. This was around 3pm. I saw the same
hotel with the members of the church, but this time we are making plan to
go to the beach. I see the pastor that he has decided that we are going to
the beach. I again see that we have packed our stuff like towels, buckets
and clothes to take to the beach. We are travelling in a single line and
this time the pastor is leading the line and his wife is the last person
in the line. I am somewhere in between.
This time we stop in the middle to the desert. We see the sea but there is a steep hill of sand about 1000 meters high. The hill is very steep so that I can stand at the top and see the sea just beneath it. It is scary but every one of our members sit at the edge and enjoy the view.
There is a shed and pastor and some others are sitting there. I also saw pastors daughter Reeta looking from the edge and enjoying the view.
** Repetition of the journey in this second dream is showing that the church again needs to be united in one mind and purpose. This time the motivation is the particular call of God for the church to come into the place of His rest where his end time works, teaching and guidance will be seen. Enjoyment of the beach, sea breeze and the sea speak of the intimacy and blessing of the Spirit of God in fellowship and communion with His people.
Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so
long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your
hearts.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have
spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his
own works, as God did from his.
As with Israel, unity, order and discipline were required for the journey (walking in a single line).
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing
I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those
things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus.
Php 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in
any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Php 3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the
same rule, let us mind the same thing.
1Pe_3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
