Daystar Ministry for Prophecy, Dreams and Visions
Daystar Ministry in Mauritius in May and June 2002
Daystar Ministry Report from Quartre Bornes on 27 May
Greetings Daystars:
The first night’s seminar just continued from
the ones in Fiji. Even the pastor
mentioned that the full house (about 100 odd)
was something special because it was a
week night. Some folks and pastors came from
other churches.
I finished the 3rd and last session at Quatre
Bornes yesterday. Here I basically just
ministered from the dreams the folks had received
concerning things to do with
the local church. As you can imagine this was
just a new church order
outpouring of God’s Spirit according to Joel
2:28-30).
Yes, it was God’s own perfect timing. We broke
the power of a strong man at the
end of the second session as instructed in dreams
and immediately the messages of the
dreams changed from warfare and demonic attack
to words of instruction, encouragement and promise.

Bon-zoor Daystars:
Because the word has gone out some pastors are calling Pastor Jean Claude Soupin to get me to come to speak in their churches. This means that instead of discipling in one place for 3 sessions as I normally require for a complete seminar, I have to be shared around and settle for only one and two sessions in a few of the churches. I agreed to this because it is benefiting Jean and the churches greatly when I am being shared around rather than ministering only Jean’s churches (IMPACT churches). This is Jean’s unselfish and caring heart anyway and this is just another reason why we get on so well. Jean has birthed and established eight IMPACT churches and has ministered in about 20 countries around the world. Because he is an independent worker, many of the leaders of the more established churches tend to keep him at a distance. I will be speaking at a couple of churches that are not IMPACT, including an AOG church. I am trying very hard not to strain my voice box too much as I usually have a problem with it when I am speaking so regularly.
Tonight I began to minister at one of Jean’s churches in a district called Moka. I had wondered how these people would respond but they did so wonderfully. The grace and anointing of God in Daystar Ministry has deepened significantly so that I am able to get the Joel 2:28-29 river of communion with God in dreams, visions and prophecy flowing in just two sessions. The night in between is adequate for some people to dream dreams necessary for the second and last session. Many received significant and relevant dreams to my teaching before I arrive.
The requirement to give a concise overall appreciation of Daystar’s ministry in one session is something that is in the hands of God and I am looking forward to seeing what will be the outcome. I believe that the hungry and thirsty will be taken care of by God Himself. I only did some form of written down detailed preparation for the first set of seminars at Pastor Jean’s IMPACT headquarters. From last night I am writing down what is taught only after the sessions. I find that the leading I get at the beginning of the meetings during praise, worship and prayer is that which ministers most effectively to the particular people gathered at a particular time and at a particular place.
It is so delightful to visit folks in their homes and see our Daystar books opened on the table because they are being studied enthusiastically. One of the leaders mentioned last night that his book went missing from his table only to see his daughter reading it in her room. This is all part of the present move and work of the Spirit that Daystar Ministry plays a part in. I am interpreting dreams and teaching in the homes of people we visit and I really love these kinds of spontaneous and temporary home church meetings that come and go in the flow of life. A Christian Chinese family came to visit a family that Jean and I were visiting. It just happened that the Chinese mother has dreamed dreams but they have not been taught proper interpretation. It turned out that the Lord was speaking much to her in dreams about their business which delighted them greatly. Murray, their sir name is Lim so you may be hearing from them soon about getting our books. It is so good to know that such people can fully know of Daystar teaching from the web site and from the books. Glory to God!
There are three things that Pastor Jean loves to do when we are with a group of Creole people and Jean is in a Murray Watson kind of joking mode. First he gets them to guess my age so that they are invariably surprised that I am in my mid fifties and not mid forties (just as well I do not dye my hair any more!). Then he gets me to rattle off some sentences in Fijian to get them to laugh hysterically. Then he tops things off by telling them that Fijians eat people so that the laughter and joyful expressions of their faces disappear as they search deep into my eyes to see if they are safe! Now you know why the Mauritians are not allowing me to ever get hungry!
I am walking most days because getting invited for lunch and dinners in people’s homes is dangerous for the waist line. A recently converted ex drug addict, ex pickpocket specialist and ex regular resident of the local jail is taking me to the gym for a workout this morning. He is a big man who has a wonderful heart and speaks very little English. This makes him best placed to teach me some Creole language. Thank you all for your prayers and loving thoughts towards this precious work of God!
Much love and blessings,
Paula
Daystar Ministry News from Rose Hill on Thurs 06 June
Greetings Daystar:
I have just completed 4 seminars sessions at Winners Faith International Ministries. It was supposed to be just 3 sessions but the Pastor sneaked another one in on Tuesday morning. All in all it has been just another demonstration of the favour of God in the current work of the Spirit. A compilation of the dreams received during the sessions in a D&V List will give you a spiritual insight into the work of the Spirit in the current outpouring of the Spirit that seems to be benefiting folks in poor countries such as Mauritius and Fiji. I am well but after last night’s final meeting I was a little exhausted.
This afternoon Pastor Pritty from Northern Mauritius is driving down for an hour to pick me up. This program was not in my itinerary before I came here to Rosehill. Thus, I am taking a meeting at his church tonight and a second session in the morning. After the morning meeting he will me back to Quarter Bornes so that Pastor Jean Claude Soupin can take me to Port Louis for an evening meeting. Sat evening and Sunday morning will be at Port Louis. I will then go to St Aubin to be with Ps Noel Nunkoo from Mon to Thurs. Then I will go to the South on Fri to be with Ps Gassen Marudamuthu until I return to Australia at midnight Tues 18th June.
Thank you all for your prayers!

Daystar Ministry News from Riv-du-Rempart on Sun 09 June
Bonzour Daystars:
The 2 meetings at Riv-du-Rempart, a village like a little town in North Mauritius, were very interesting indeed. The praise and worship on Thursday night was like a Rodney Howard Browne kind of meeting with screaming and laughing and dancing manifestations. This went on for some time. When my teaching and the accompanying anointing began to move and became very desirable to the people, I said that the Pastor should give me more time to teach them. He did exactly this on the second session on the morning of the next day. Both sessions packed out the small building that seated about 200 odd. Many took leave from work to attend the second seminar which took 3 hours and yet the people wanted it to carry on!
The Thursday night meeting was tough in the beginning because my teaching was completely new requiring the people to think and to participate in interaction with me. There was enough breakthrough to whet the people’s appetite for Daystar teaching. If this was just the formation of clouds in the process of hearing the voice of the Spirit like rain then the next day it poured and many had received dreams. Every church and their pastor where I have ministered have been moved and taught deeply and some pastors, as the one at Riv-du Rempart, were especially keen to establish the teaching as foundation for their church. Some have mentioned to me that they have been visiting our web site and downloading some Lists for them to continue learning interpretation.
I was really quite tired by the time we started the meeting at Port Louis on Friday night. Not long after I started teaching, two men started manifesting demons. One was so bad that we knew that the demon was basically disrupting the meeting kicking chairs and screaming. There was some attempt at casting the demon out but this was a hard case. Apostle Jean Claude Soupin was interpreting. The demon possessed man did not come on the Friday night and we had the most wonderful breakthrough session with another man interpreting. My voice has been suffering and was barely hanging on so my interpreter and I just sat down on the stage and taught the people. There was a peaceful and gentle flowing of the river of God and the ease of interaction was sound and exciting. Revelation deepened appreciably.
This morning was the last session at Port Louis and my interpreter and I continued my new format of just sitting down on the stage. My voice was still basically just holding together and I had developed a cold by now. Towards the end of the meeting the demon possessed man’s brother and sister brought him in. I ordered them to one side of the back of the hall and to keep him quiet and we will pray for him after the meeting. I had left things to the pastors and elders on Thursday night and it was not good. This time the man only manifested quietly during my teaching. When the meeting was over I told the pastor that we will pray for the man after everyone had gone except for the elders and the family of the man.
I instructed the folks to sit around the man and I asked the man whether he wanted to be free. He nodded. I told the pastor to do exactly as we had been doing in the seminars and to give over the situation to the Holy Spirit. We were then to clear our minds of all the methods of casting out demons from the past and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in the inward man (they tried while I was praying for the people and there was only screaming). I calmed the man down to have confidence in me and I told the pastor to just speak whatever appropriate scriptures, inspirations or wisdom that was coming into his mind.
I led for a short time and then I let the Pastor take over. When he finished talking to the man I said for everyone to pray. As all were praying I was just speaking quietly to the demon firstly about his precarious position relative to Christ and the Word of God and then I told him to leave. I was watching the man all this time and I saw just a small hint of a struggle and then man lifted up his head and he had a surprised and happy smile on his face. This was such a contrast to the dark and fearful face that was in bondage. I gave him my hand to shake and he took it heartily. The folks were astonished that he didn’t even make a sound. There was awe and joy all around. The Holy Spirit was given sovereignty and it was a non event. Light came and darkness went, just as we were discussing in the seminar. Here, we were sharing our thoughts, wisdom and understanding coming from the Holy Ghost on Jesus the Light of the world. Well, this was certainly new wisdom for Daystar teaching.
One more week to go! This is usually the hard week because I am already looking forward to seeing my family again and I have to try and delegate this to the back of my mind until the work is done. I would like to report that the perennial fruit of the Daystar seminars of closeness to the people like family was evident in every church where I ministered. Mauritius may as well be just another part of Fiji where the people appreciated a fellow Fijian coming to teach them in a significant way.
Mauritius, where two thirds of the population is Indian, is very much like some western towns of Fiji. There is one big difference. The Indians hardly use the Hindi language and many, especially the younger Indians cannot speak it. They have learned Hindi as a subject at school but that is it. Everyone speaks Creole and French dominate the written and electronic media. English is taught and predominantly used along with French and Creole at school. Creole reigns everywhere else. It is so strange to me to see Indians everywhere speaking Creole among themselves. As you can imagine, the politically dominant Hindus are worried about their language and their culture eroding rapidly with each generation. I bought a small book on learning to speak Creole but I have not had the time to study it enough.
Mixed marriages is the norm except for the economically well off Chinese and the very small and prosperous white population. Mendel, the father of genetics, would have had a field day studying the people at Mauritius. I am a big man and a fair skinned man compared to the majority of the people here. Apparently both these characteristics are desirable in males for marriage over here.
Much love and appreciation for your prayers:

Daystar Ministry report from Chemin Greiner on 16 June
Greetings Daystars:
This is the last news from your correspondent in Mauritius. I am at a village (small town) called Chemin Grenier in Southern Mauritius. I ministered here on Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon. The first night was a little hard going with the people needing to get used to the interactive seminar and the interpreter found it a little hard going. However, the work of the Spirit was the same as elsewhere and the next night was plain sailing with a different interpreter. Every meeting in Mauritius needed an interpreter speaking Creole.
I hope you understand that I do not need to be constantly writing about the wonderful work of the Spirit in all meetings. To relate the details of the many compliments concerning the ministry will only embarrass us all as all glory squarely belongs to the Lord. I can say, however, that the anointing, liberty, clarity and depth of revelation increased with each successive set of seminars so that the last was so much better than the first. Indeed I will need to re-write some important parts of our books and write a couple of articles for our web site so that we are up to date with what the Spirit is saying and doing in the churches.
Pastor Gassen and family are taking me on a tourist outing tomorrow and I leave Mauritius at midday on Tuesday. I will be arriving in Melbourne at 5:50am on Wednesday morning where hopefully my son, Paul, will meet me at the Airport. I will then depart Melbourne at 6:10pm on Thursday to arrive in Brisbane at 8:15pm. I feel like I am and will be flying on eagles wings!
This has truly been a most blessed trip. God is doing such a quick work and the people and the pastors have quickly grasped the ministry. The Holy Spirit will continue to teach and lead and I may not need to return at all. Rather, we will wait on the Lord for the next nation to invade! The close friends/family that I have met do not like it when I say that I may not need to return. As Christians of the new church order we certainly have friends, families and homes in every nation.
I would like to especially thank the Porter and Watson families for keeping up with our work from Brisbane and a sincere thank you to all who have been praying. See you all soon!
With much love and rejoicing,
Paula
