Our Interpretations for Your Guidance

Joshua 5:6 "For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey."

Possible interpretation format:

The children of Israel - Christians or The Church/The Body of Christ

Forty years - Period of probation (Deut.8:2) or judgement (Gen.7:4)

The wilderness - The Christian's life while yet in flesh and blood and living in this world

Men of war - People who are slaves to the flesh and to The Law and who do not know the peace and rest of God's New Testament Covenant in Christ Jesus. They war against themselves, against brethren and against God.

Came out of Egypt - Believers who have believed in Christ and have been cleansed from the sin that enslaves them

Consumed - Destroyed

Obeyed not - Christians who are yet slaves to sin and The Law and who will not repent

Would not show them the land - They will not enter into heaven

Land that floweth with milk and honey - The kingdom of heaven and the presence and fellowship of God

Joshua 5:7 "And their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way."

Possible interpretation format:

Their children - The New Testament Covenant in Christ Jesus is an offspring of the Old Testament Covenant (Jn.4:22)

Whom he raised up - Believers who are born of God (Jn.1:12-13)

Joshua - Typology of Jesus Christ

Them Joshua circumcised - Those who believe in Christ have been circumcised in spirit by faith (Col.2:9-14) and will be circumcised in spirit soul and body at His coming (1Pet.1:9)

Because they had not circumcised them by the way - The completeness of our circumcision or salvation will be at the coming of Jesus Christ (Jude 4-5, 1Cor.10:1-11, 1Thess.5:23)

Joshua 5:8 "And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole."

Possible interpretation format:

When they had done circumcising all the people - The end time circumcision or cleansing of The Church at the coming of the Lord (1 Thess.4:16-17, Heb.11:40)

That they abode in their places in the camp - This is the oneness of the "unity of the faith" and the "unity of the spirit" of the last generation Church (Eph.4:13-16)

Till they were whole - This is the process of wholeness or oneness with Christ and with God as the creative purpose of God is fulfilled (Eph.4:13, Jn.17:21-23, Gen.1:26)

Joshua 5:9 "And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day."

Possible interpretation format:

This day have I - The fulfillment of the work of God the Son on the Cross and in resurrection

The reproach of Egypt - The reproach of enslavement to sin and to the spirit and god of this world, while yet in flesh and blood

Rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you - Speaks of the final and total freedom from sin and death in spirit, soul and body

Joshua 5:10 "And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho."

Possible interpretation format:

Israel encamped in Gilgal - The Church ought to always be camped at The Cross (Gilgal) while yet in flesh and blood and living in this world (1Jn.1:8-10)

And kept the passover - The Church ought always to keep The Passover while yet in this world (1Cor.11:23-31, Lk.22:15-18)

Fourteenth day of the month - Beginning of the total fulfillment of The Passover in spirit, soul and body

At even - Pertaining to the time of complete salvation in spirit, soul and body

In the plains of Jericho - Speaks of the power of God to destroy the enemy in the Promised Land (Col.2:14-15)

Joshua 5:11 "And they did eat of the old (ripe) corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched (roasted) corn in the selfsame day."

Possible interpretation format:

Old corn (ripe grain) of the land - The spiritual hidden meanings to The Word of God of the Old Testament and in Prophecy, Dreams and Visions (Rev.2: 17, 1Cor.2:7-16))

On the morrow after the passover - Day of circumcision or salvation from the sin and death of this world (Num.33:3)

Unleavened cakes - Wholesomeness of the Word of God unadulterated by sin

Parched corn (roasted grain) - End product, completeness or fulfillment of the Word of God

Josh 5:12 "And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year."

Possible interpretation format:

The manna ceased - End of The Law for the trials and testings of our faith while yet in the wilderness of sinful flesh and blood in the earth (1Jn.1:8-10)

"On the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn (ripe grain) of the land neither had the children of Israel manna anymore" - Speaks of the spiritual New Testament meaning of the Word of God now superseding the Word of God of the Old Testament

They did eat of the fruit of the land - The fruit or Word of God is of the Promised Land or heavenly communion within us. That is, where our Teacher, "the Spirit of Truth" dwells.

"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him" (1Jn.2:27).

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you" (Jn.16:13-15).

The interpretation

You must read the scriptures cited in the interpretation in order that you maximize the blessing of God's imparted anointing that accompanies His direct teaching.

In the context of the reading of the book of Numbers, the filming here represents God's instructions to remember and consider the spiritual New Testament message of the River Jordan and the Promised Land. If this was a message from God concerning The Church, my question (to the Holy Ghost) was, "exodus from what?" The Church would have to be in bondage as Israel was in Egypt. Now it can be clear that the exodus was from the apostate Church of the Dark Ages before the exodus Protestant Movement in the 1500's. It appears that from about 1985 the prophetic tribe of The Church had been through the testings and trials of the wilderness and had arrived at a fruitful place, as can only happen by a significant outpouring of the Spirit of God (river which was full of life). Abundant prawns (my wife's favourite food) speaks of the teachings and instructions of God which are accompaniments of the outpouring of God's Spirit. The claws of the prawns that bit my fingers are a reminder to me personally that this food of God's heavenly communion is for me also. If we assume that this place and settlement represents where The Church is, then the prophetic or the prophets will be making their presence felt from about the middle of the 1980s (time of the receiving of this dream). If you are prophetic like Daystar Ministry, or a prophet, then the interpretation of the rest of the above passage is a piece of cake! Collecting sand on the way to the site of settlement probably speaks of the foundation of The Church, that without the prophets and apostles (Eph.2:20) it is yet built on sand (Mt.7:26-27). The prophetic tribe that God is raising up and preparing will go through times of alienation and suspicion before they are accepted and established in The Church. Here God is testing their faith and refining their hearts and abilities in the hardship of their calling. This will serve to develop and mature a parental character and a seasoned prophetic ability for the work of the ministry for the last generation Church. The prophetic or prophets will arrive at their time of establishment and acceptance in The Church when they have passed the testings and trials of their wilderness and have proceeded to the edge of their Jordan. Jordan being the challenge to The Church's crossing over into the possession of the Promised Land. The ancient Israelite settlement could represent the ancient paths of the way of the Lord Jesus Christ (Jer.18:15, Isa.58:12). This is the way of directly hearing God in divine heavenly communion and just doing His will (Heb.10:5-7). This is the place of entering into oneness with God in the presence and fellowship of God, as it was with Jesus (Jn.14:6-14, Jn.17:21-24). The challenge and obstacle of the edge of Jordan is a challenge of righteousness (white walls and pillars). No man can meet this challenge (part Jordan) except God Himself. Of such is the essence of the power of Jesus Christ's Cross of Calvary and the power of His resurrection (Phil.3:8-11). The Church in its religious programs, rituals and traditionalism, without the foundation of the prophets and apostles, will not enter into the divine oneness of the "unity of the faith" and "unity of the spirit." In God's time for the prophets to be established and accepted into The Church, the challenge and obstacle of Jordan will open up and the Church will enter into the heavenly presence and communion of God in heavenly places. This is where all of God's blessings dwell (Eph.1:3) and this where the Church is seated together with Christ (Eph.2:6). This is the place of The Church's authority and power in the name of Jesus (Jn.14:12-14) over all the hosts and works of darkness and evil. "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world" (John 17:24). Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:" (Eph.4:13).
