The
Radicalism of Daystar Ministry
I was taking some data on a legume/grass compatibility experiment on an agricultural research station in March 1979. I was close to a busy highway and there were two loud tractors working nearby. As I finished a short prayer for some folks that I had been witnessing to, everything went strangely quiet and all I could hear was munching sounds coming from behind me. I turned around and saw a green and lush grass/legume paddock into which a large number of sheep had been loosed for grazing. I then saw that the noise I was hearing was the sound of the sheep chewing the vegetation. As soon as this chewing noise was resolved in my mind, I heard a firm male voice speak from behind me. The voice said, "Feed my sheep."
I instinctively turned around but there was no one behind me. Only now could I hear the noise of the highway and the tractors again. I then realized that the Lord God had spoken to me and joy flooded my being. I had been desperately asking God to speak to me since I became a Christian a few weeks before. He had heard my prayer and He had called me into the work of the ministry to teach His people. This was about the happiest day of my life because henceforth no one would ever convince me that there was no God. This became the first of many encounters with the different manifestations of God in my life.
The calling of God confirmed in a vision of the Lord
While sleeping soundly on a night in December 1980, I was suddenly shaken awake by someone who had taken a hold of my arm. Rather than waking into full consciousness, I went into a trance state. I was fully conscious but I was not able to command my body. I managed to reach out and feel the arm on me. It felt just like flesh and bone. I then tried to reach the light switch above me but this was unsuccessful. There was the noise of electrical crackling and roaring in the atmosphere like static electricity which put heavy pressure upon my ears and head.
I took in the view of my room. I saw the windows and the curtains and the street light from outside illuminating my room. Suddenly a crystal finger like a stalagmite, materialized from my window and came towards me pointing at and then touching my forehead. The electrical roaring and crackling of the atmosphere intensified with the materialization of the crystal finger. The finger retreated to the window before coming again and pointing towards my forehead. It did this the third time.
When the crystal finger disappeared I struggled to snap myself out of the trance but I couldn't. A scripture finally came into my mind which said, "Be still and know that I am God." Immediately I came out of the trance.

The calling of God to lead into the anointing for the great outpouring of His Spirit
On the 31st March 1983, four years after my "born again" conversion, I had my first opportunity to teach a discipleship group in a church in the town of Chandigarh, in North India. Up to now I was quite familiar with the particular way in which the Holy Spirit had been teaching me directly for the last four years. I had never taught in this way before. On the night before my first discipleship lecture, I decided to ask the Lord if I should teach in this way. The Lord replied in a dream that I was going to relate to this way of ministry. Since then, this way of teaching has developed and matured into what is now the primary calling of Daystar Ministry.
As the oil was poured, rain descended from the heavens. I observed the last drops of oil dropping into the well. Oil and water mixed together in the well. A tap seemed to open like the opening of a motorized irrigation pipe and oil poured into the well. The rain was very heavy and soon a flooded river was flowing in the area.
The well of oil was now in the midst of the river and oil was flowing from it into the river. There was a continual flow of oil from the irrigation pipe and there was a continual overflowing of oil from the well into the river. The rain just kept pouring down."
Scriptural references: Isaiah 44:3-4, Job 29:3-6
The Interpretation Vocabulary
Paula - myself or the prophetic ministry in The Church.
The woman - my spirit or the spirit of The Church.
The bucket of oil - the unction or anointing of the Holy Ghost.
The dry well - the spiritual condition of believers who are not directly taught and led of the Spirit of God.
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him" (1Jn.2:27).
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power" (Eph.1:18-19).
He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water" (Jn.7:37-38).
The Spirit of Elijah in the present outpouring of God's Spirit
If the Prophetic Church is going to herald the second coming of Christ, then the present outpouring of the Spirit is also going to release the Spirit of Elijah into the churches. The Spirit of Elijah is about restoration. Jesus Himself declared this to His disciples concerning His second coming as the Messiah and conquering Lord of lords.
"And his disciples asked him saying, 'Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things" (Mt.17:10-11).
Into what shall the Spirit of Elijah restore the people? Is it restoration only into the characteristics of the manifestations of the Spirit of God in revival? Is it merely restoration into the power of God to heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead? This is the million dollar question for the Prophetic Church of this generation!
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse" (Malachi 4:5-6).
"That they all may be one" (Jn.17:21).
We started this church with the radical aim to just hear God in the way of this ministry and to just do whatever He tells us, no matter what. This decision has proved to be one of the great highlights of our lives. In short, we are being blessed with the reality of the teaching and leading of the Lord and we are being blessed with the fruits of this Promised Land outworking within us as individuals, as families and as an assembly. We have found rest not only in just hearing the Lord and obeying Him in joy and peace, but also in the testings and trials of our faith and of our hearts.
Daystar Ministry is involved and will be involved whereever doors open in the area of discipleship of the saints such that they enjoy direct, credible and verifiable communion with the Lord.
The particular beliefs that are currently warming to our hearts
Our
blessed missions involvement in India
We have been visiting churches in North India since 1989 to teach leaders in the discipleship of this ministry. We are currently financially supporting 6 full time ministers in the States of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and an evangelical ministry team in the State of Bihar.
Freely ye have received, freely give.
"Freely ye have received, freely give" (Mt.10:8). This has always been a fundamental philosophy in our hearts. It is just the radical element in us to hear God's word from the scriptures and from dreams and visions to just do what He says. In this way much of the responsibility is on the Lord to make us hear Him clearly and He has adequately delivered and will deliver.
"Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?
Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord" (Jer.23:23-24).
We have found such joy in the kingdom of heaven within us in the Spirit of giving freely and it is just one of the rich blessings contained in the Spirit and life of every word of God.
"…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (Jn.6:63).
The advent of the Internet facilitates the blessing of being able to give freely.
