Both books will not only point you to the Holy One, they will also anoint or enable you to develop a greater ability of communing with "the Spirit of truth."
A Brisbane Prophetic Bible College Principal by the name of Faylene Hill, mentioned to me excitedly that she immediately received communion from the Lord in dreams when she read our two books. In fact almost all who have been discipled from the two books begin to receive dreams and visions from God. It is not uncommon during seminars from the two books for the Lord to pour out a Joel 2:28-29 type outpouring of His Spirit upon a gathering of hungry and thirsty believers. The following passage which has been copied from our book called 'Heavenly Communion in the Conscious State', encapsulates the substance of that which has been recovered.
In the process of inwardly discerning the voice of God, we are inwardly listening to what the Holy Spirit is communicating with our spirit. Christians have got to believe in the availability of the Holy Ghost and learn to be taught by a Spirit who is invisible! We simply believe and ask the Holy One to teach us and then we faithfully learn to hear from Him!
"Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?" (Job 36:22).
"Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction" (Pr.24:32).
"Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass" (Deut.32:1-2).
"For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? Who hath marked his word, and heard it?" (Jer.23:18).
Yes, we can be taught by a spiritual heavenly being! To ignore the Holy Spirit simply because we cannot see Him amounts to blatant UNBELIEF and DISOBEDIENCE!
"Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him…"(Jn.14:17).
The churches in general live in this state of unbelief and it is no wonder that there is no substantial, credible and continuing heavenly reality and power in the lives of the saints. A few years ago, I was squeezed out of teaching in a Pentecostal Bible College for teaching the students to hear an invisible Spirit who is called, "The Spirit of truth." I was finally given somebody's notes and told to teach only that which was written and not to add to it whatsoever.
I figured that the place did not need a living , breathing and thinking me. It needed a tape recorder. This incident epitomized my thesis that the subtle message within Christendom generally is, that God the Holy Spirit is not really with us or in us to sovereignly communicate with us. That is, we balk at putting on a spiritual mind which requires the effort of holiness, obedience and the exercise of our faith and our spiritual senses. However, we find spiritually effortless fulfillment in the worship of the religious natural mind which has a warped, selfist perspective of the grace of God.
Wherefore he saith, "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Eph. 5:14
The Holy Spirit as a pagan idol
In much of Christendom, the Holy Spirit is regarded and honoured like a pagan idol. We offer unto Him lip service concerning the things we want but we treat Him like a god who cannot see nor hear nor speak to us! That is, we worship him in the way of vain worldly religion as a convenient god for our needs, but we do not worship Him in the reality and warmth of that which is "in Spirit and inTruth." Daystar's radical aim for the discipleship of 'Heavenly Communion' has been ordained of God to address the latter.
Interestingly, I found that the Christians I taught in India did not think it strange to be taught by an invisible Spirit. It was not an insult to their flesh and blood ministers, neither to their books and magazines library, nor to their tapes library, that the invisible God was available to teach His people directly. In fact, those Indians did not have an abundant supply of books, magazines and tapes to bow down to, in blatant ignorance of the Holy One who is with us and who is within us.
The blatant blindness of Christendom!
The religious establishment in the time of the Gospels ignored and forsook the physically manifested living and breathing God the Son, for their written Scripture. Yet the scriptures testified of Him!
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
AND YE WILL NOT COME TO ME, THAT YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE" (Jn.5:39-40)
Today, we are ignoring and forsaking the spiritually manifested God the Holy Ghost for our written Scripture, books, magazines, tapes, seminars and conventions. Yet the scriptures were written by Him!
"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: BUT HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST" (2Pet.1:20-21).
To whom are we pointing God's people?
Generally speaking, the subtleties of Christian authorship use the Holy Spirit to point people to the authors themselves and the subtleties of Christian oratory use the Holy Ghost to point people to the speakers themselves! Present day Christianity openly display the fruits of this status quo and in some quarters these fruits are grotesque and not of Heaven! Who shall declare the Holy Spirit and point the people to Him directly as Jesus instructed, in this generation?
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things…" (Jn.14:26).
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him" (1Jn.2:27).
Have you ever heard of anybody teach on the above scripture? Precious few do. Daystar Ministry does and our free books will help you to put aside unbelief and to be drawn intimately to the Holy One. All spiritual Christians have the ability to be intimately taught and led of the Holy Spirit (1Jn.2:20,27). However, until we grow and develop to proficiently hear the Lord for ourselves, we will need the "parental" teaching and guidance of ministers, literature and tapes. One day, as it is with natural babies, we will be weaned from the milk of our parents to be predominantly taught and led of the meat of the Spirit.
"Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts." (Isaiah 28: 9)'
The
far reaching possibilities of this recovery
This recovery can help towards the unity of the Spirit and the unity of the Faith within Christendom. There appears to be a relationship between the current work of the Spirit worldwide and this recovery, together with the advent of the Internet.
"…shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased" (Daniel 12:4).
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Mt.24:14).
Modern information technology is absolutely marvellous, but there is One that is infinitely greater for knowledge, wisdom and revelation!
We talk about Him, we preach about Him, we write about Him and we even hear Him and see His manifestations now and then, but we don't know Him to commune with Him in a significant and continuing way.
Concerning Him we have declared, " Greater is He that is within us than he (including the Internet for communication) that is in the world." Well, there is still that which is the created and there is Him who is the Creator!
Jesus Christ declared that the Holy Spirit was going to replace Him as God dwelling on the earth, with and in His disciples (Jn.14:16-17). That is, just as Jesus taught and led His disciples, so the Holy Spirit would teach and lead His followers, and more so.
The manifestation of Jesus Christ was an astronomically momentous phenomenon because God was manifested in the earth in flesh and blood.
"For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them" (Mt.13:17).
How much more, after the Cross and Jesus Christ's resurrection, should the work of the gospel through the Holy Spirit be greater for the benefit of The Church and mankind?
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you…"
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…"(Jn.16:7, 12-13 KJV).
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (Jn.14:12).
There was the physical reality of God in Jesus manifested in the earth, but Judaism ignored and rejected Him. Being servants to their natural and traditional minds, they resisted the living and breathing Word of God and cleaved to the written letter of the word. Shall we, likewise, also ignore and forsake the Holy Ghost?
