The Ministry of the Spirit in Dreams and Visions
The topic of the language of dreams and visions is a large one. This is particularly so because the whole realm of dreams and visions is yet a subject of mystery to much of The Church. I recommend our free book, Dreams and Visions with a difference for all believers, for a thorough teaching on the subject.
Because the book attempts to shine a Christian light into the largely gray arena of personal dreams and visions, I counsel the reader to go to the Holy Spirit and to the scriptures for verification of credibility. There is not much taught on the subject and I consider this book to be of credible authority concerning Christian dreams and visions. Spiritual Christians who are reasonably taught and led directly of the Spirit can, in fact, test themselves in their ability to grasp this ministry and in their ability to receive and interpret dreams and visions. The naturally minded may just consider the things of the language of personal dreams and visions as foolishness.
"And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the (Holy) Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the (Holy) Spirit].
But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them - of progressively recognizing, understanding and becoming better acquainted with them - because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated" (1Cor.2:13-14 Amplified Bible).

God uses natural things to reveal the invisible things
In the vocabulary of the language of the Spirit, the natural things that we see and are familiar with are used to represent the invisible Spiritual things of the kingdom of God.
"For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made - His handiworks. So (men) are without excuse - altogether without any defence or justification" (Rom.1:20, Amplified Bible).
The very existence of ordered natural creation points to the Creator God, just as the existence of a wooden chair points to a carpenter and the existence of a house points to an architect and a builder. Every aspect of the construction of a house and every aspect of natural creation have a meaning and a purpose. Often their meanings and purposes are what God uses to reveal to us the realities of the things of the heavenly kingdom of God.
Generally, the meaning and purpose for every aspect of natural creation is the same in every country of the world. For example, the sun speaks of light, day, warmth and life in every tribe of every nation. A desert speaks of dryness and lifelessness whereas a land of lush green trees and grass speaks of water and life. A tree bearing fruit speaks of fruitfulness whereas a tree without fruit can speak of barrenness. It is in this way that the language of the Spirit is universal.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through
all the earth, and their words to the end of the world…" (Ps.19:1-4)."

"I was with my brother Aaron. I wanted to do some fishing. He showed me how to fish off the bank of the creek. I caught some fish from here. Then something caught my attention. I saw this city at the mouth of the river. I asked Aaron about the city and he said all he knew about it was that the city was built on the ocean. I wanted to go and see this place and so I did. I went looking around the place. There were big buildings and parks.
I then noticed people fishing. They were fishing through small holes just enough to fit the lines through. I knew they were catching fish. There was a man standing beside me. I asked him if it was okay to fish. I asked him if the manager (developer) would mind me fishing. The man answered, "I am the manager". After hearing what the other ladies were saying about the city being built on the deepest part of the sea, I asked the Manager how can the city be so firm. He said, "It’s to do with the foundation." He then lifted up a section of the street (like you would lift up the corner of a rug to see what was under it) and showed me the foundation. There were big steel pillars going right down to the bottom of the sea.
He then told me to go and do some fishing. I did and I caught some big fish. Then I noticed in the pool of water there was this blue fish (like a parrot fish) swimming towards my line. I pulled in my line thinking that Peter wouldn’t like me catching this fish because he didn’t like this type of fish. Then someone said to me, "Don’t try to avoid not catching this fish, because it will chase your line anyway." I was catching these big fish. I noticed that one was a big bream and I’ve never seen anything like it. I said to myself, "I can’t wait to show Peter and Paula all these fish that I caught."
I then saw this big tall building again. Someone was telling me to go up to the top and that you could also fish from the top. I went up to the top of this building and looked across the city. You could see it as far as your eyes could see. In front of the building I saw another pool of water. So I decided to throw my line in again. And I caught some more big fish. I thought how this city was so firm as it was not floating on the water. The foundation was so strong to hold it up without swaying with the waves and tides of the sea."

"I was at this camping site by a river. My husband Peter and the boys were there too. There was this bridge across the river.
I crossed the bridge to the other side and came to a place by the river bank but close to the bridge. Here the current of the river was stronger.
Amongst all the rocks there were these fish that would swim by this place at the same time every day. I went to bring Peter with me to show him the spot and the fish. Peter said that we will come back the next day to fish for them.
I somehow ended back at the spot on that same afternoon. I brought with me a spear and a fishing rod with five lines, at the ends of which were five hooks."
Interpretation Vocabulary

Dream: 8th July 1992 received by David Cavu (6 years old child at the time)
Category: Prophetic of things that are coming upon the earth
"Dad and I were at a house with stairs. We walked down the stairs to the gate of the verandah and looked out. We saw three horses in the river (red, brown and blue).
The horses turned the river into a road. They then ran up to where Dad and I were at the verandah. When they came I ran up the stairs."
Interpretation Vocabulary
The river becoming a road speaks of God's sovereign work to cause a great crossing over of God's people from a natural mind to a spiritual mind in order that they possess all of God's promises in heavenly places in Christ (Eph.1:3).
"…making mention of you in my prayers;
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Which he wrought in Christ, when

Intimate guidance: There were two of me
Dream: 5 Nov. 1996 Received by Doctor H. (University lecturer)
Category: Edification
Dr. H. said that he only wanted to do God's will in the recent decision he had to make. However, the choice was between a comfortable and promising place for his career and a University in a third world country. Despite the seemingly overwhelming leading of the Lord for the latter, Dr. H. was hesitatingly holding out for a decision for the former. He finally decided to go to the third world country but not without the following dream from the Lord. "I was sitting down toward the lower end of a table and I could actually see myself sitting toward the top end of the table; that is, it was like there were two of me, and I was able to see the other me sitting toward the top end of the table. The "me" at the top end of the table was eating, and very pronouncedly opening and closing his(my) mouth as he(I) was eating. Given that I train the girls to eat with their mouths closed, it was strange to see myself doing that in the dream."
Interpretation "All I can think
of is that perhaps God wants to address some hypocrisy in me."
Intimate

Circumstances
My family joined Daystar Ministry nearly two years ago. Gavin, my husband, and I came from a more traditional type church background. Our eight year old daughter, Lauren, was christened as a baby but now she wanted to get water baptized by full immersion.
On Sunday 29th September 1996, Gavin and I talked about Lauren wanting to be baptized. I told him about my reluctance to talk about it with my mother. I had been avoiding the issue for the past few months. We spoke to Pastor Paula Cavu about this and he encouraged us to trust God and not to deny the Lord in the things of righteousness (Mt.3:15). I had spent the last few nights praying for guidance in dealing with my mother with regards to Lauren’s baptism.
The Dream
"Lavinia (a lady from Daystar), myself and some of Lavinia’s basketball team went shopping. My mother had wanted me to go shopping with her but I had told her I was busy. As we were shopping I saw my parents in a chemist shop. I was really surprised as this shopping centre was a long way from where my parents live. I knew that if Mum saw me she would be upset that I hadn’t gone shopping with her.
I started to hide behind poles in the shops so that they couldn’t see me. While Lavinia was going into different shops I hid. At one stage I thought that Mum had seen the edge of my dress and I knew that she would recognise the dress as mine. I panicked and went to hide in the toilets. I thought that my parents would come looking for me. I didn’t want to get caught but I also didn’t want Mum to feel unloved by seeing my sneakiness. I hid in the toilet until the shops closed.
As I was leaving there was a movie showing in the shopping centre where there were lots of people watching. When I came out of the toilets I had Sarah (my friend’s daughter) with me. As we were walking past all the people watching the movie I asked Sarah if I should ring her mother on the mobile phone. Sarah said that her mother did not have the phone turned on at this time. As we were heading for the car, my mother who was watching the movie reached out and touched me and asked if I had a nice day shopping. She was not cross at all!"
My response to the dream
Following this dream and lots of
prayer, I finally talked with my mother about Lauren wanting to be water
baptized. To my astonishment she didn’t appear to be surprised by it at
all. She told Lauren that she would love to come to her baptism. Lauren
was baptized on Sunday 3rd Nov. 1996 and both my husband's parents and
my parents were there. They all enjoyed the event and were supportive.

"I was teaching at this high school. There was going to be a school dance that night. I was deciding whether to wear the same clothes and stay at school or go home to change. I decided to get changed.
I was window shopping on the way home and was deciding whether to buy a new dress and shoes. I went into a shoe shop and tried on these really comfortable but expensive shoes, the price of which was over $100. I decided not to buy them and to just wear what I had at home.
As I walked out of the shop it was raining heavily. The road was very muddy from the rain as on a country road. I was glad that I didn't buy the shoes as it would have been ruined in the mud.
When I reached home I noticed that our house had fruit trees in front. When I walked into the house, I noticed that a very huge tree trunk was fused to the windows and to part of the side of the house. I was worried that this might cause our house to collapse. Paula said that it was alright and not to worry about it because it was quite safe.
Paula put his hands through the hollow of the trunk of the tree and pulled out a saucer shaped bark that contained water and white worms. He threw the bark on to the floor of the house which still had the water and the worms. He said to leave them there as they will die."
Interpretation Circumstances
The family had been led of the Lord into joining this church for a season and for a prophetic expression. The church was not really of main stream Christendom because of some of their foundational doctrinal interpretations. They were very keen to install their particular brand of doctrines and beliefs into our minds and lives.
