Help needed for pools of fish needing
water
D&V List No.1375
Date: Friday 27 November, 2009
Dreamer: Sharon L
Scene 1: I am sitting in an overstuffed chair in the central part of my home
relaxing & reading. I look down to my left and see a crater-like sunken
pool of water with huge catfish in it. The pool is nearly empty of water … and
there are many catfish that are about the same size in the hole. Some are fighting … splashing
heavily. Others are seemingly being still so they can still breathe. There
is plainly too little water to sustain their lives. I think “I must fill
it with water so the fish won’t die!”
Almost immediately, however, I forget it completely and return to my reading
and relaxing.
Scene 2: I get up and go outside. I am surprised to see another pool ---
seemingly made by a small meteorite – that is again nearly empty of water and yet
full of large catfish.
Scene 3: I return and again begin to get back into my book. Suddenly reality
strikes me and as I look down at the fish beside my easy chair, I am ashamed
and know I must get water to the fish. “Some may already be dead”,
I think with alarm.
Scene 4: I run to the kitchen and the only pot I find immediately is very
small. I want a much larger pot but feel the necessity to get water to
the fish … so
I rush to turn on the kitchen faucet and fill the small pot. As I turn it on,
the water comes out very slowly – amazingly slow since that is not “normal”.
As the pot fills slowly, I suddenly see another pot – much larger like
a small stock pot. I make an immediate plan to take the first pot to the fish
as I begin filling the second pot. The first pot is about 1/3 full as I place
the second under the faucet. I take the water to the fish “pond” in
the central part of the home. I was travelling toward the pond when I awoke.
I was very startled when I awoke and immediately went into my “prayer
room” to pray.
** We understand from the parables of the Gospels that fish is symbolic
of human beings as it was with the disciples of Jesus being called “fishers
of men”. Historically fish is the symbol of Christians.
If we consider the background of what the Spirit is saying to the churches
in recent D&V Lists then the fish of this dream most likely represent Christians.
Here, the pools of fish depict churches or Christian groups. We are familiar
with water being symbolic of the Spirit of God.
Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him
shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be
in him a well
of water
springing up into everlasting life.
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out
of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe
on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because
that
Jesus
was not yet
glorified.)
Now we can see the meaning of the dream. It is saying that whether
we look inwardly at our spiritual home (pool or local church
in the centre
of your
home) or outwardly at other spiritual homes (pool outside the
home), we see that there is a dangerous undersupply of the Spirit of
God;
meaning that
there is hardly any activity of the practical ministry of the
Spirit, such
as in
directly teaching and leading believers of the New Testament
Covenant in Christ Jesus.
Without the practical daily ministry of the Spirit (adequate
supply of water) whereby people do the will of God, they will
die relative
to the
life and
knowledge of God and relative to being the sons of God.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit,
and they are life.
Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but
if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body,
ye shall
live.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they
are the sons of God.
The deeds of the body or carnal flesh nature, is symptomatic of inadequate practical everyday activity of the Spirit of God affecting thoughts, emotions and desires. This was demonstrated in the dream with some of the fish fighting and splashing.
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
2Co 12:20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would,
and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates,
envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
2Co 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and
that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of
the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
The dream is showing how there is onus on you the dreamer (representing people who have access to the Spirit of God) to get out of laxity (get off the comfortable overstuffed chair) and minister the Spirit (supply water) into the lives of folks living in danger of being cut off from the life and knowledge of God. It is useless just thinking and feeling guilty about it while the fish languish and die.
(There is plainly too little water to sustain their lives. I think “I
must fill it with water so the fish won’t die!” Almost immediately,
however, I forget it completely and return to my reading and relaxing... Suddenly
reality strikes me and as I look down at the fish beside my easy chair, I am
ashamed and know I must get water to the fish. “Some may already be dead”,
I think with alarm.)
We must redeem the time, because the days are evil in this world dominated
by the works of spiritual darkness that oppose the light of God (could
only find small pots and the water from the faucet was impaired).
Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Eph 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the
Lord is.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with
the Spirit;
Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Rom 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave
to that which is good.
Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour
preferring one another;
Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in
prayer;
Rom 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Rom 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the
sight of all men.
Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all
men.
Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto
wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him
drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Rom 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good
