cfhdl001	Victorian League Footballers	Hoadleys	1932	8	108		This unnumbered set is probably the hardest of the Hoadley's football sets to complete. It shows head and shoulder portraits of VFL footballers with a yellow frame showing the players name below the portrait. The set is more commonly known as the 'Nutty Bar' cards and is based on the same original pictures as the Clarke-Ellis set but the format is different

The series must have been issued in two batches since cards 1 - 40 read "40 Prominent Footballers to the Set" at the base of the back and cards 41 - 80 read "80 Prominent Footballers to the Set". Cards 41 - 80 also show the players name and team on the front of the card.

otgia003	VFL Lapel Pins	Australian Licorice Company	c1933	7	12		This series of round lapel pins was issued by the Australian Licorice Company who were also the issuer of the Giant Brand Licorice card sets. They show club colours for the 12 VFL teams of the era in a circle with a white arm with the club name in black lettering on the arm. The presence of the Nth Melb stripes and the St Kilda shield would suggest these were issued in approx 1932/33.

An advertisement card was also issued explaining which cards could be obtained with each of the Giant Liquorice products.

The cards with the Grey's advertisement on the back are significantly harder to find than the Godfrey & Phillips and BDV backs.

cfhar001	Tasmanian Footballers	Hart's	1933	9	66 x 2 sets		This set of cards came in two different sizes depending on the confection they were packaged with. The larger sized set showed the same player photos with a plain border whereas the smaller size (shown) had no border.

Cards numbers 1-50 show the same base photo and format as the Godfrey & Phillips 1933 set of 50, the difference being that the backs advertise Hoadley’s. Section 2 comprises cards 51 - 100 which have a slightly different format on the front of the card and include players from VFA as well as VFL teams.

acwil007	Capstan Advertising Card	WD and HO Wills	c1933	7	1 known		This rather large card shows a black and white head and shoulder portrait image of Ron Hillis from Sth Melbourne. The card has a gold name panel at the bottom and the words Capstan embossed in gold diagonally across his shoulders. The photo is the same one that appears on other Wills cigarette cards. It's quite possible that other player photos exist in this set but no others have been seen to date.
tcwgh001	SA Footballers	Weight Cards	1933-37	10	16 known footballers		These cards were available from weight machines where a celebrity photo appeared on the front of the card and your weight was printed on the back. The celebrity photos comprised sportsmen and actors with two known subjects being footballers.

The set is very large and fairly rare so determining the complete list is very difficult. The cards were issued in three sets of 72 with the first set being the most common (as shown in availability), the second set being less common and the final 72 being close to impossible to find.

The portraits appeared weekly in the Tasmanian Mail newspaper showing four portraits per issue. They could be cut out and pasted into an album issued to house them.

The bottom half is blank except for the team name. The back of the card describes the discounts available. It appears that both VFL and VFA teams were issued.
