These supplements contained leading VFL players of the era explaining coaching tips for certain aspects of the game. The supplement showed a colour caricature of a player and then a black and white head photo of the player. Generally the black and white photo showed the same player as the caricature, but not in all cases.

This series of silky cloth bookmarks shows predominantly team mascots with the team name at the top and team nickname at the bottom. The issuer is unknown as is the date of issue but the style of the mascots would suggest early to mid 1950s.

The team photos in 1952 came in three separate subsets. Most teams appeared with player head photos spread across the page with a club mascot in the middle, but three teams appeared with the traditional style team photo as appeared in previous years. The last subset showed traditional team photos of the teams competing in the VFL finals series.

These cards could be obtained by sending in four consecutive numbered vouchers found in the Argus. Four cards were redeemed for these vouchers. Six cards from each team were issued. Smaller reproductions (110 x 75 mm) of card numbers 1, 2, 3, 12, 15, 19 and 20 were printed in the paper itself as advertisements for the set.

Formal team photos of all the VFL teams competing that year with additional photos for teams competing in the finals series. The Footscray finals photo showed the same team photo as the earlier edition except that the head of Jack Collins had another players head superimposed on top of it as Jack was out injured at the time. The Argus also issued supplements on Victorian country towns in 1953 and the Latrobe Valley one of these contained four colour team photos of Latrobe Valley teams. Other town supplements contained black and white team photos but not ones of the quality in the Latrobe Valley supplement.

An institution in Melbourne is this series of posters issued immediately after each VFL/AFL grand final showing a caricature of the winning team drawn by WEG. The first poster was released in 1954 as the cover sheet to bundles of newspapers, and then sold at various outlets, including outside the ground on grand final day, ever since. The older posters are extremely rare and even more rare are the losing team grand final posters which were mostly destroyed once the winner was known.

Three matchbooks are known to have been issued by the Vaucluse Hotel in Richmond, Melbourne. One shows a black and white head photo of Des Rowe superimposed on a drawn in collar and tie with Richmond colour diagonal stripes in the background. Another shows black an white photos of Des Rowe and Max Oppy in an oval frame with a similar Black and yellow diagonal stripe background. The third is a text advertisement for the hotel.

Postage stamp sized cards to be used with the Argus Fireside Footballers game. Twenty four cards per team were issued in sheets which had to be cut into the individual cards. Coupons had to be collected from the Argus newspaper and then redeemed in person at the Argus distribution outlet in Melbourne.

Coles issued several series of cards related to the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956. One of these series showed scenes from sports that were to be contested at the games, one of which was the exhibition sport of Australian Rules Football. The card was a cartoon like image that did not specify any players or teams.
