The supplement showed a colour caricature of a player and then a black and white head photo of the player. Generally the black and white photo showed the same player as the caricature, but not in all cases. |

This series of silky cloth bookmarks shows predominantly team
mascots with the team name at the top and team nickname at the bottom. The issuer
is unknown as is the date of issue but the style of the mascots would suggest
early to mid 1950s. |

The team photos in 1952 came in three separate subsets. Most
teams appeared with player head photos spread across the page with a club
mascot in the middle, but three teams appeared with the traditional style
team photo as appeared in previous years. The last subset showed traditional
team photos of the teams competing in the VFL finals series. |

These cards could be obtained by sending in four consecutive numbered vouchers found in the Argus. Four cards were redeemed for these vouchers. Six cards from each team were issued. Smaller reproductions (110 x 75 mm) of card numbers 1, 2, 3, 12, 15, 19 and 20 were printed in the paper itself as advertisements for the set. |
