players in the Collingwood Team that won the 1958 Grand Final together with
the coach, secretary and injured captain. Three different versions of this
set exist. 1. All cards numbered 1958 and signed. Only 60 of these sets
were produced and given to the V.I.P.s at the 1958 reunion. 2. 500 Individually numbered sets all personally signed on the
back of the cards except Graeme Fellowes and Phonse Kyne whose signatures
were reproductions. 3. Unsigned sets with players names printed on the back of the
card instead of signatures. 1000 of these sets were produced. Proceeds from the sale of the signed cards went to the
Collingwood past players fund. A

This series again shows full colour player photos. A Premiership Predictor competition was run again in the same format as the previous year. The Case cards in this series showed the same photos as several of the medal cards but they did not have a metallic finish. A large Gary Ablett tribute card was issued several months after the standard series was issued. The five Hall of Fame cards were issued with this set but are additions to the 1996 Hall of Fame set. |
