This third set of AFLAU cards shows action photos of AFL field,
boundary and goal umpires. The cards have a white curved panel in the bottom
left corner with an orange and black stripe bordering it. An 'Integrity'
banner appears within this white panel. '08' and the umpires name also appear
on the front on the card. |

Celebrating 150 years of Australian Football this single
maxicard features the earliest known engraving of a game of Australian
football. The engraving, entitled "Winter in Australia: Football in the
Richmond Paddock" by Robert Bruce, depicts a game at Richmond Paddock,
the parklands that sit adjacent to the MCG. This image was first reproduced
in the Illustrated Melbourne Post on 27 July 1866. |

This may not really qualify as a Football card, but a set of
cards depicting the characters in the Gladiators TV show were issued in the
New Idea magazine. One of the cards shows Anthony Koutoufides who was
formally a Carlton footballer. |

Commemorative 5 card set to celebrate the 1958 50th Anniversary
Reunion Dinner as Collingwood defied the adversity of the Melbourne Football
Club to claim the 1958 VFL Premiership. Released to attendees on the 23rd
June 2008, held at the Olympic Room, in the MCG. Several sets were also made
available to the public via the Footycards.com.au website. The cards were
produced using a 3 step process and have a clean-metallic finish. Only 120
sets produced. An additional Thorold Merrett signature was added to this set in
2009. Only 58 of these cards were produced. |

featuring the show’s panel and co-presenters. A hand signed signature card
for Ronnie Burns was also issued. |

This second series for the year shows player action photos on a
predominantly white bursting background with a team colour name panel with
gold text. As with the previous years second series this one contained the
now traditional subsets of Medal winners, Draft Pick signatures, Signature
cards and premiership predictors, but the All Australians are in the standard
set and HOF tribute game players have been added as a subset. The Premiership
Commemorative subset also makes a return. |

This set of 384 player stickers consists of mainly head and
shoulder shots of players, but there are some full length star play stickers plus
foil best and fairest stickers and club emblems. Stickers were issued on
standard card sized sheets with each sheet containing 4, 6 or 8 stickers.
Stickers appeared in varying combinations on the sticker sheets. An album was
issued to house the stickers. |

Select issued two series of 24 figurines very similar in style
to the Prostar figurines from 1996. Inside each box was a figurine and a
small card showing a picture of the figurine. Each figurine was issued in a
standard edition and a gold edition as were the cards. Both the standard edition and gold edition cards were later
released in boxed sets. |

This series shows action shots of players with a team coloured
solid surround and border and statistics that assist in playing the Team 2008
competition, run as per the previous year with prizes of gold and blue series
of cards. The collectors’ edition packets contained standard, silver, gold,
B&F and checklist cards and again this season, a special star wildcard
insert series showing WEG caricatures of star players. Silver team captain
cards were available separately inside the J-Squad magazine. Each silver card
was issued with three different backs each containing a different quiz
question. *Note* Silver
Quiz cards have been issued in game day AFL Footy Records. These cards show a
fourth question on the back for the player issued. The cards also show a
slightly longer photo of the player than those issued in the packets. |

and Coach sticker. They differ only slightly in format from the previous
