Underwater Hockey is played at Wollongong Uni Pool every
Tuesday from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.

WHAT IS UNDERWATER HOCKEY?

Underwater Hockey is a fast moving team sport of 6 players aside played with snorkelling gear (mask, snorkel & flippers), small bats and a "puck" across the deep end of the pool (usually at a depth of approximately 2m+).

Teams advance the "puck" (similar to an ice hockey puck, but weighs 1.5kg) across the bottom of the pool to attempt to score in each others "goal trays" located at each end of the "court". Strategy is similar to many other team sports such as soccer & field hockey, except for the 3rd Dimension of playing under water, that makes the game so interesting.

The game caters for all ages, from Junior's (Under 19) to Master's (35+ men / 32+ women), and for all ability, from mixed social club games to International World Championships with 35+ countries battling it out over up to 8 divisions.
