MARSHALL MOUNT OLD TIME DANCES
The Marshall Mount Old Time Dance is held every fortnight in the Progress Association Hall at Marshall Mount, near Dapto, approx 2 hours drive south of Sydney.
The dance has been running for over 50 years.
Music is usually by the Marshall Mount Merrymakers.
The dance starts at 8pm and finishes at midnight.
Each evening's programme includes a selection of dances from Barn Dance, Boston 2-Step, Canadian 3-Step, Drops of Brandy, Eva 3-Step, Gay Gordons, Gypsy Tap, Jazz Waltz, La Bomba, Maxina, Merrilyn, Oslo Waltz, Oxford Waltz, Pride of Erin, Quickstep, St Bernard's Waltz, Swing Waltz, Veleta Waltz .....
HOW TO GET THERE FROM SYDNEY.
Drive south on the Princes Highway. At Yallah, just past the Yallah Woolshed, use the overpass (exit on left) to turn right, then head back north on the side road. At the next main junction turn left into Marshall Mount Road. The hall is approximately 4km from the highway.
