DREAM ON 07 OCTOBER 2006
The morning of 7 October 2006 about 4:30 I woke up and went into the prayer room and picked up my Bible which was open at Exodus 12:13-14.
I started mediating on those verses.
I then lay down on the floor and started praying. A little after 6:00 am my wife came into the room. We talked about the white wall covered with fresh blood. Then I started praying again while she read the Bible.
I woke up and realize that I had gone to sleep while praying. I had a dream.
In this dream a group of people were in a waiting room like at a bus station or train station. If I remember correctly we were painting the walls. The day in the dream was a Saturday.
I said “I am going to church.” They all looked at me and said it is Saturday.
I said “I don’t care, Saturday is the Sabbath. Look at the calendar. Sabbath means seventh.”
I went over to one corner of that place and started singing Glory, Glory
HALLELUJAH, Glory, Glory HALLELUJAH, Praise GOD, Praise GOD.
My wife came over there and started singing with me and then I noticed
Deacon G Mrs. W and other people came over and started having church.
Then I woke up.
** Perhaps your crusade with regards to the seventh day or Sabbath for worship is manifesting in many of your dreams. Your subjectivity was evident in the phrase: picked up my Bible which was open at Exodus 12:13-14. These are two verses in two whole pages of many verses in your opened bible. Clearly you just wanted to highlight these particular verses for your purpose regarding the Sabbath/Saturday.
For the purpose of objectivity I refer to the bible commentary by Gill on Exodus 12:14 (from e-Sword)
Exo 12:14 - And this shall be unto you for a memorial,.... To be remembered, and that very deservedly, for the destruction of the firstborn of the Egyptians, and for the deliverance of the children of Israel out of Egypt, and as memorable a day it is, and much more so, for the redemption of the spiritual Israel by the Messiah; for it was on this selfsame day that he suffered for the redemption and salvation of his people: the Jews not only having a saying,"that in the month Nisan they were redeemed, and in the month Nisan they will be redeemed (g)''but they expressly say,"on the same day, THE FIFTEENTH OF NISAN, Israel is to be redeemed, in the days of the Messiah, as they were redeemed on that day, as it is said, according to the days, &c. Mic_7:15 (h):"
and you shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; as THE FIFTEENTH DAY was properly the Chagigah; or festival day, when they made a feast both of the flock and of the herd, of both sheep and oxen, Deu_16:2.
you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever; unto the end of the Jewish economy and church state, until the Messiah come, the true passover, and be sacrificed for us.
(g) Roshhashanah, fol. 11. 1. 2. (h) Cabalistae apud Fagium in loc.
Dreams often reflect from our subconscious the things we are passionate about, worry about or things that occupy our minds. These are natural dreams even though they may have religious connotations or religious symbolism. As such it makes it difficult at times to differentiate them from divinely inspired dreams that have appropriate religious symbolism and appropriate flow of events.
If you have a humble and teachable heart that desires only truth and not given to religious legalism, then you may be interested in my own personal bible commentary on the Sabbath from Deu 5:14:
THE SABBATH OF THE LORD IS THE REST OF GOD IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE NEW HEAVEN AND EARTH
Deu_5:14 in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
The Sabbath of the Lord thy God is shadow of the Rest of God Heb_4:1-11; Gen_2:1-3 for all creation in the new heaven and new earth Col_2:16-17; Rom_8:18-25; Rev_21:1-5
Deu_5:14 is revealing that the Sabbath of the Lord thy God pertains to the new order of life in the new earth and new heaven where the will of God is done; a life where no man nor animal would need to work for the basic necessities of life such as food, shelter and clothing Mat_6:25-34; Joh_14:1-4
Of such was the situation with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden before the fall
Gen 2:4-8 They did not need to worry about such basic necessities as they:
- had food, drink and clothing provided by God Mat_6:25
- did not need to sow, reap and gather into barns Mat_6:26
- did not need to think about about such basic necessities of life, just as
one would not think about increasing one's stature Mat_6:27
- grew with their raiment and did not need to till the ground for food nor
spin for clothing Mat_6:28-30
Only the people of the nations without the knowledge of God and His provision
- Gentiles Eph_2:12 - worry about these things even way into the future. They
cannot conceive of a kingdom where the basic necessities of life are provided
for by the Creator God. As for the people that have the knowledge of God, all
they need is to seek first the kingdom of the Creator God where all these things
are provided for by Him. Thus the people of God must have unwavering faith
in Him, for unbelief in Him and His provision cometh of evil. God's people
will somewhat be like the lilies of the field and fowls of the air that just
live for the present as the morrow would take thought of the things of itself
Mat_6:33-34
-------------------------------------------------
IN CONTEXT: Mat_6:28-33; Gen_2:4-8; Rev_3:17-18
God's will is done in the eternal kingdom of God and where the will of God
is done He becomes provider of all things that are needed for life and living;
as with the lilies of the field and birds of the air on this earth and with
redeemed humanity in the new earth and new heaven - e.g. food, clothing and
mansions Joh_14:1-3 where there is no mortgage, no deposits and no interest
rates but only the currency of faith in God and in the Lord Jesus Christ His
Son Isa_55:1; Rev_3:18; Heb_11:6
Relative to possession of the new heaven and earth, believers need not be concerned about the things of this world. Rather, have the mind that can, when divinely required, sell all one's possession to give to the poor and thereby providing for oneself treasures in heaven; for the possessions of this world are vain relative to the possessions of the new heaven and earth Luk_12:30-40
