Dream from Christine Harvey
THE BACKGROUND
The president of Cornerstone Christian University had a re-occuring dream since he was twelve years old. This man is President and Founder of Cornerstone Christian University. He loves God and wants everyone to be educated in God's word. He will tell you that it is only one truth and that is God's truth. He is a humble man and a man full of the Love of Christ.
** The description of the dreamer and President of Cornerstone Christian University is akin to that of King David of the Bible. Such was his heart that he wanted to build a house of cedar for God or for the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
2Sa 7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD
had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
2Sa 7:2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house
of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
2Sa 7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for
the LORD is with thee.
It is vital to grasp that the ark in the Holy of Holies of the Temple symbolized the means and the place where God could directly meet and commune with His people. (NB: Directly communing with God in such a place is the particular focus of the teaching of Daystar Ministry’s web site)
Exo 25:17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a
half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
Exo 25:18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou
make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
Exo 25:19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other
end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
Exo 25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering
the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another;
toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
Exo 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the
ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
Exo 25:22 AND THERE I WILL MEET WITH THEE, AND I WILL COMMUNE WITH THEE FROM
ABOVE THE MERCY SEAT, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark
of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto
the children of Israel.
The significance of the translation of the ark of the covenant of the Lord from a continually shifting readily bio-degradable tent to a more permanent temple will not be missed by the President of Cornerstone Christian University. This has to do with the covenants of the Old Testament under Moses and the New Testament in Christ Jesus.
As a typology of Jesus Christ, David’s desire to build God a house of cedar was fulfilled in Christ who is building a house made of eternally permanent lively stones.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona:
FOR FLESH AND BLOOD HATH NOT REVEALED IT UNTO THEE, BUT MY FATHER WHICH IS
IN HEAVEN.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and UPON THIS ROCK
I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
1Pe 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1Pe 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but
chosen of God, and precious,
1Pe 2:5 YE ALSO, AS LIVELY STONES, ARE BUILT UP A SPIRITUAL HOUSE, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
As the son of David whom God allowed to build His house, Jesus is building the eternal New Testament House, Temple or Church of God. All ministers fulfilling their calling of the Lord are co-labourers together with Christ and the Holy Spirit in building this House of God. This is the background to the dream.
THE DREAM
He dreamed that he went back to his property in Haiti where he was raised. When he got there, there were builders, and electricians, etc working on his house (Mansion) He asked one of the workers what are you doing and who told you to do this and why. The man said you know and then they pointed to a man that looked like Jesus Christ dressed in white.
** In going back to his property where he was raised, the recurring dream is reminding the dreamer about his calling since he was a 12 year old. Because of his heart after God’s own heart like King David and because he was going to fulfil this calling as David did and finally rested from all his enemies, God is going to build the dreamer-minister a house or mansion in the kingdom of heaven somewhat as God promised with King David.
2Sa 7:4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto
Nathan, saying,
2Sa 7:5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build
me a house for me to dwell in?
2Sa 7:6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought
up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in
a tent and in a tabernacle.
2Sa 7:7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel
spoke I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my
people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me a house of cedar?
2Sa 7:8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the
LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to
be ruler over my people, over Israel:
2Sa 7:9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all
thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto
the name of the great men that are in the earth.
2Sa 7:10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant
them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither
shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as formerly,
2Sa 7:11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people
Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. ALSO THE LORD
TELLETH THEE THAT HE WILL MAKE THEE A HOUSE.
Presumably this is the reward for all called and chosen ministers who are like King David, like the disciples of Jesus of the Gospels who became apostles of the New Testament epistles and like the President of Cornerstone Christian University.
Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are MANY MANSIONS: if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Now that the dreamer has understood the meaning of the recurring dream, he
will most likely stop having them.
