HENRY HOL[D]STOCK & SARAH SHOEBRIDGE

Henry HOL[D]STOCK and Sarah SHOEBRIDGE are my maternal 5^th Great Grandparents.

Their daughter, Elizabeth HOLDSTOCK, is my 4^th Great Grandmother who married William Henry HOWARD.

Henry "Harry" HOL[D]STOCK was born 18^th January 1804 at Benenden, Kent, England to John HOLDSTOCK & Mary WHITEHEAD	Sarah SHOEBRIDGE was born in 1808 at Ewburst, Kent, England to Joseph SHOEBRIDGE & Sarah WATSON.
Henry & Sarah married on the 25^th October 1824 at Ewburst, Kent, England. Henry & Sarah had 9 children in England, then emigrated to Australia as Assisted Bounty Immigrants aboard the ship "Saxon". The ship arrived at Port Phillip, VIC Australia on 29^th June 1849. The ship had left London. Henry & Sarah had 2 more children in Victoria, Australia. It also looks like the "D" in HOLDSTOCK was dropped in Australia to HOLSTOCK in some registration details.
Henry HOLSTOCK died on 6^th June 1891 at Glen Huntley VIC Australia aged 87yrs. (Source: VIC Death Reg. 1891/5504) Cause of death on certificate - epilepsy. It is also recorded that death may have been caused by a fall from his horse.	Sarah HOLSTOCK (nee SHOEBRIDGE) died on the 12^th January 1858 at Castlemaine VIC Australia aged 50yrs. Then married Daniel HARDING in 1873 having 2 children with Daniel before the marriage. Sarah died 7^th November 1873 in VIC Australia. - John born about 1828 at Benenden, Kent, England. - William Henry born about 1831 at Benenden, Kent, England. William married Dorothy WATT in 1852 in Melbourne VIC Australia. He then married Jane PARR in 1873 in VIC. William died on 6^th September 1876 at East Brighton VIC Australia. - Adelaide born about 1832 at Benenden, Kent, England. She died on 3^rd June 1838 at Benenden, Kent, England. - Miriam born about 1833 at Benenden, Kent, England. She also died before 1849 in England. - Elizabeth born 19^th October 1834 at Benenden, Kent, England. Elizabeth came to Australia aboard the ship "Saxon" in 1849 with her parents. Elizabeth is my 4^th Great Grandmother who married William Henry HOWARD on 15^th September 1856 at The School House, Castlemaine VIC Australia. Elizabeth was previously married to Thomas Charles WILLIAMS on 23 Jun 1853 St Andrews Church, Brighton VIC Australia. After William Henry HOWARD died, Elizabeth married a 3^rd time to Samuel THORNE in 1882 in Brighton VIC. She died on 1^st February 1919 at Cheltenham VIC Australia and is buried at St Kilda cemetery. - Mary born about 1836 in Benenden, Kent, England. She married Abel STONE in 1853 at St Andrew's, Brighton, VIC Australia. Mary died 24^th May 1889 in Brighton VIC. - Ann born about 1838 at Benenden, Kent, England. - Joseph born about 1840 at Benenden, Kent, England. He died in 1918 Corowa NSW Australia. - Edward born 18^th May 1850 at Collingwood VIC Australia. He died in 1850 in Brighton VIC Australia. - Henry born September 1851 at Brighton VIC Australia. He died 19^th November 1851 at Brighton VIC Australia.
