Their son, Benjamin CASEY, is my 3^rd Great Grandfather who married Frances Maria MILLER.

Thomas CASEY was born 1817 in Clifton Hampden, Oxfordshire, England to William CASEY & Elizabeth BERKSHIRE.

Thomas married Eliza BOWLER 12^th October 1837 at St Peters, Oxford, England.

Clifton Hampden is a village located in South Oxfordshire on the River Thames.

Eliza BOWLER was born in 1817 in England to Joseph BOWLER & Eliza (or Christian) LEIGH (or LEY). Joseph BOWLER was born in Farringdon, Berkshire, England in 1795.

Thomas & Eliza CASEY came out to Australia in 1855 with their children and arrived apparently in Moreton Bay in Queensland (I have yet to find the shipping record to prove this).

Thomas CASEY died 15^th Mar 1892 in Little Bay NSW Australia. His cause of death: Bronchitis, Asthma. (source: NSW Death Reg.13402/1892 ) Aged 74 years.

He is buried at Rookwood Cemetery in the Old Church of England Section.

Eliza CASEY (nee BOWLER) died on 11^th Jul 1878 in Goulburn NSW Australia. Cause of death was Heart disease (Source: NSW Death Reg.5969/1878)

Eliza is buried at Braidwood Cemetery: Aged 60yrs. Grave 32(b)

- Eliza born 30 Apr 1838 in Abingdon, Sutton, Berkshire, England.

- Thomas born about 1841 in England.

- Ellen born about 1842 in Berkshire, England. She came to Australia with her parents. Ellen married James Lee AGAR on 21^st November 1872 at Braidwood Baptist Church NSW Australia. She died in 1913 at Marrickville, Sydney NSW Australia.

- Rueben G born about September 1847 in Kensington, Middlesex, England. Came out to Australia with his parents. He married Catherine in 1876. Reuben died in 1893 in Sydney NSW Australia

- George born 9^th August 1849 in England. Came out to Australia with his parents. George married Sarah Ann STEWART on 22^nd March 1875 at St Andrews Church, Braidwood NSW Australia. George died 16^th March 1917 at Kogarah, Sydney NSW Australia.

- Ruth born 1850 Kensington, Middlesex, England. Came to Australia with her parents. Ruth married James BURKE in 1867 at Warrambucca NSW Australia. She died 15^th September 1928 in Sydney NSW aged 80years. Ruth is buried at Braidwood cemetery NSW.

- Benjamin born 30^th August 1851 Kensington, Middlesex, England. Came to Australia with his parents. He is my 3^rd Great Grandfather who married Frances Maria MILLER on 7^th September 1874 at St Peters, Wooloomooloo, Sydney NSW Australia. Benjamin was a miner/sawyer. He was killed on 8^th August 1901 by a falling tree at Otford, NSW. Benjamin is buried at the Church of England Cemetery, Helensburgh NSW.

- Julia born 16^th May 1857 in Ipswich, QLD Australia. She died on 11^th January 1858 at Ipswich, QLD Australia when a baby.

There is another Thomas & Eliza CASEY family in the Braidwood area that causes confusion to work out who belongs to which family!

This family will involve a lot more research for me in the future.
