WILLIAM HENRY HOWARD & ELIZABETH HOLDSTOCK

William Henry HOWARD and Elizabeth HOLSTOCK are my 4^th Great Grandparents.

Their son, Ernest Albert HOWARD, is my 3^rd Great Grandfather who married Caroline Ann LOVETT.

WILLIAM HENRY HOWARD	ELIZABETH HOLDSTOCK
William Henry HOWARD was born in 1830 in Bolton, Lancashire, England. Son of William HOWARD & Ann DAVIS. William came to Australia sometime before 1856, and settled in the state of Victoria. William Henry HOWARD married Elizabeth WILLIAMS (nee HOL[D]STOCK) on 15^th September 1856 at The School House, Castlemaine VIC Australia. (Source: VIC Marriage Reg.1856 / 2149) At this stage, I don't have any further information on William Henry HOWARD, apart from his occupation listed as - Mariner, Blacksmith. I don't know when he died. He has such a common name!	Elizabeth HOL[D]STOCK was born on the 19^th October 1834 in Benenden, Kent, England to Henry HOL[D]STOCK & Sarah SHOEBRIDGE. Elizabeth arrived in Melbourne, Australia on the 29^th June 1849 aboard the ship "Saxon" with her parents, Henry & Sarah HOLSTOCK. Elizabeth was previously married to Thomas Charles WILLIAMS on the 23^rd June 1853 (Source: VIC Marriage Reg.1853 / 20410) and they had a daughter, Charlotte WILLIAMS on the 6^th March 1854 in Brighton VIC Australia. (source: VIC Birth Reg. 1000/1854) Elizabeth HOWARD married a third time to Samuel THORNE in 1882 at Brighton VIC Australia. (Source: VIC Marriage Reg. 1882/1345) Therefore, I am assuming, William HOWARD died before this marriage in 1882 between Elizabeth & Samuel THORNE.
Unknown when William Howard died.	Elizabeth THORNE (nee HOL[D]STOCK) died on the 1^st February 1919 at Cheltenham VIC Australia. (Source: VIC Death Reg.1919/ 1112) She is buried at St Kilda Cemetery (Wesleyan Monumental Grave Compt C, grave 675)
Elizabeth HOL[D]STOCK & Charles WILLIAMS had 1 child: - Charlotte born 6^th Mar 1854 at Brighton VIC Australia. Charlotte married John BISHOP in 1878 in VIC, Australia. She died in 1936 at Prahran, Melbourne VIC Australia. William & Elizabeth HOLSTOCK had 9 children: - Sarah Ann born 1858 at Barkers Creek VIC Australia. She died in 1859 at Castlemaine VIC Australia as a baby. - Edwin William born 1857 at Castlemaine VIC Australia - Adelaide Marion born 1860 at Barkers Creek VIC Australia. She died in 1861 at Castlemaine VIC Australia as a baby. - Frederick Arthur born 1861 at Sandhurst VIC Australia. He died in 1863 at Barkers Creek VIC Australia as a toddler. - John Henry born 1863 at Sandhurst VIC Australia. He married Agnes PHILLIPS in 1888 in VIC Australia. John died 24^th May 1889 at Alfred Hospital, Melbourne VIC Australia. Buried at St Kilda Cemetery. - Thomas George born 1865 at Castlemaine VIC Australia. He died in 1867 at Barkers Creek VIC Australia as a toddler. - Arthur James born September 1867 at The Lodden VIC Australia. He died 25^th March 1890 at South Yarra VIC Australia. Arthur is buried at St Kilda Cemetery. - Ernest Albert born 25^th February 1870 at Ballarat VIC Australia. He is my 3^rd Great Grandfather. Ernest married Caroline Ann LOVETT on 23^rd December 1889 at Fitzroy VIC Australia. Haven't found a death record as yet. Ernest was a labourer. - Harry born 1872 at Ballarat VIC Australia. He married Elizabeth BIRCH in 1900 in Victoria, Australia. Harry died on 14 Jan 1949 at Armadale VIC Australia. He is buried in Springvale Cemetery, VIC.
