How can I share with them ?"
Friends or Relatives who don't have a DVD Player can view your discs on the Sony Playstation 2,
Microsoft's X Box, or on a Computer. PC's fitted with DVD-ROM drives will play back the
DVD-R format. provided the PC's not too old and has compliant DVD Software.
Software usually comes with the DVD drive, eg, Power DVD or Win DVD etc.
Can Total Recall make copies of any DVD
Total Recall can use your DVD as the Video source to make a transfer, in effect making a DVD copy.
Only If: the DVD has been manufactured WITHOUT COPY PROTECTION
Most Wedding & Special Event Videographers don't put copy protection on their disc's
so unlimited copies can be made to videocassette, or Extra DVD's can be copied for family & friends. Eg,
If you have a DVD of a Wedding , Birthday, or a special Video that you have shot yourself, or had transfered,
you might like some extra copies. The content of the DVD must not breach copyright laws.
In the copyright act, it's against the law to make copies of "any material"
someone other than you owns the copyright to. This deters piracy and protects the artist's work.
This law also protects you and your original video footage. If you have bought or rented a commercial DVD
from a Shop or rental outlet eg, a Movie, it will most probably be copy protected.
To see if your disc has Copy Protection, Put the disc in your DVD player,
record the output of the DVD player to a VHS Tape Deck, play back the tape.
If you notice problems with the picture, It has Copy Protection embedded in the disc

All source media to be tranferred or copied, Videotapes, DVD's etc must be in the PAL format!

Digital : Mini DV DV CAM DV PRO HDV 1080i
IMPORTANT FOR MINI DV USERS
Digital Mini DVD Tapes will only be accepted if the tapes were recorded on the Short Play SP setting !!
Most Video Editing systems do not recognize the Mini DV Long Play Mode LP setting.

Total Recall DVD Transfer Policy
The transfer service provided is a simple one-to-one copy. All tapes will be started from the beginning of the tape. Our service does not include precise starting, stopping and or editing of the video content during transfers.
However we will do our best with the supplied tapes.
"Videos must be in reasonable condition, and Playable"
Total Recall DVD takes no responsibility for videotapes that are in poor playable condition,
that when played, could cause damage to the tape itself, or the equipment transferring it.
"Tip" If you have videotapes you haven't played for at least 2 - 3 years, rewind the tapes from start to finish
before you play them. This helps condition the tape, and stops the video player's heads clogging.
"Conversion will maintain current quality, "It cannot improve it."
Playback faults or problems on your tape will be transferred to the DVD.
VVideotapes must be continuous. (No Editing of the Tapes Content).
Copies are on the PAL DVD-R format. Your playback device must be PAL DVD-R compatiable.*
Most DVD Players play DVD-R Discs. But we suggest that you check your DVD player's Manual.
*Failure to confirm PAL DVD-R compatibility before manufacture will result in a No Refund policy.
Are my tapes secure?
We take great care of tapes while they are in our possession,
however, We recommend that a copy of the tape be made, as we cannot guarantee absolute security!
How much program time fits on a DVD ?
The maximum recording time at the highest quality is 60 minutes, There is a drop in video quality with longer recording times past 2 Hrs. Please note that replicated discs you buy in the shop are usually Dual Layer discs, and can therefore store more video. Our discs are made similar to recordable CD's.
A DVD's capacity & quality is based on Program Time Vs Picture Quality.
What quality can I expect?
The DVD MPEG 2 quality is comparable to off-air TV quality. We use
Timebase correction & Noise reduction to produce a rock solid picture transfer.
Conversion will maintain the current quality of your tapes, "It cannot improve it."
