What is Display Gymnastics?

Display Gymnastics involves a lot of dance enhanced by gymnastics elements, movements and apparatus work and focuses on artistic presentation and aesthetics of gymnastics rather than on sport’s code of points and requirements. Gymnasts learn how to express themselves to music, to dance and perform in productions and displays.

Display Gymnastics is incorporated into Rhythmic Gymnastics program as gymnasts/presenters are required to develop fitness, flexibility, dance and gymnastics skills to be able to participate in productions. In 2005, Glen Iris Gymnastics is committed to prepare its new production “Circus”. Gymnasts will start preparation for this production in Term 2. Last year we were very happy to receive a lot of positive feedback from our member after our “Christmas Show” production in December 2004.
