My ceramic work explores the meshing of profane and sacred meaning in large functional and anthropomorphic forms. I am intrigued by the gendering of space and associate material culture found in the archelogical and anthropological records. Organic hand built ceramic sculptures are constructed using a coiling technique that creates a surface memory of the ancient play between wind, water, sand and sun.
