Actual Cost of a Job

Sometimes it would be good to know what a job is actually costing you to make.  This is especially handy when you are quoting for a large order.  Now, as a pre-requisite for this to work, a couple of things need to be already set up.

If you have only recently purchased Frameit, the system will gather this information automatically.  However, if your pricing was set up prior to this feature, you will need to re-visit your prices and put in the Cost Price.

Some items don't really have a Cost price as such.  Take Fitting or Stretching which are labour items.  When you set up your prices you need to decide what rate of cost should apply for these type of items.  This may take a little bit of trial and error to find what you want.

If you have individual pricing for your mouldings, you will also need to have the cost price for each moulding.

Now that we are all set up, all you need do is press the F4 key while you are pricing a job.  The cost of that job will be displayed in the top left corner of the screen.  If you change something, press the F4 key again to re-calculate the change.

Finally, why is there no prompt shown on the screen to press the F4 key?  We don't advertise it so that staff do not have to know that it is there or what it represents.  So this is about the only key in the whole of Frameit that you will have to remember.
