Q. I have purchased a new Ink Jet printer and it will work with everything else except Frameit.

A. The new type of printers being marketed now require Windows operating system to be present and will only print from a Windows application.  They will no longer print straight from DOS.  To get around this we have developed a module that works in conjunction with Frameit to provide the required printing drivers.  There is no additional cost for the module. Go to WinPrinter for details and software.

Q.  I get an error message that includes the words "DOS Error 4".

A.  This means that there are not enough 'file handles' set up in your configuration file called 'config.sys'.  Use a test editor to increase the files to say 60.  You are looking for the line that says 'FILES=xx'.  Change this to say 'FILES=60', save the file and re-boot your PC.

Q.  I get an error message that says "corruption detected........." and then a choice to abort or ignore.

A.  Go to the Maintenance section and select the option to "Reindex".

Q.  I am using a Laser printer.  When I first start Frameit an error is shown regard the printer.

A.  The software is trying to down the letterhead and soft fonts to the laser printer however, the laser printer cannot be found.  This may be because it is not turned on, not connected, not "on-line" or some other hardware or driver problem.

Q.  I want to network (LAN) Frameit (more than one computer hooked together).

A.  A network version of Frameit is available from JiTechnics along with suggestions on setting up the application on the LAN.  If yo do not use the LAN version, the system will not work correctly and there is danger that corruption could occur to the data.

Q.  Will Frameit work on a Macintosh or Apple computer?

A.  No

Q.  When Frameit starts, it is in a little window.  How do I make it Full Screen?
