Geoffrey Gates was born in Sydney and has lived in Australia, England and Germany. His short stories have been published in such journals as Gangway, Dotlit, Verandah, Vanguard, Skive and LINQ. His first novel A Ticket for Perpetual Locomotion won the 2005 IP Picks Award and was published by Interactive Press in October 2005.
