"Sauron"

I was given a pair of Vifa M18WO drivers (thanks Rick Crouch in Sydney), and the pods I were still sitting in the cupboard awaiting a use.  The pods were turned by a local woodturner a few years ago, and only accept the Audax TM020J7 round titanium tweeters of which I had specifically kept a pair.

It was obvious I couldn't cross the M18 directly to a 20mm tweeter, so a mids search began, eventually using the Peerless 4" 830854. I then needed a design to house them all, and a cross-over to, in the darkness, bind them.

The cabinet is made up of many lengths of 3cm square 'meranti' timber, the pod is turned from a piece of solid mahogany and is supported by 6mm copper tube through which the wires pass.

A 3-way linked series is again used.
