ARGOS Tapered Quarter-Wave
Pipe
The ARGOS Tapered
Quarter-wave Pipe uses a 6.5" Vifa P17WJ and a Vifa D25, D27
tweeter, with a custom designed series crossover. They
can also use other drivers with similar T/S specs to the Vifa
P17
They produce
very good musicality which is clean, open and precise,
and particularly good on vocals, saxophone and other woodwind
and string instruments.
Bass
response is solid and 'fast', down to 50Hz.
Even
though they are quite efficient, the amplifier needs
to be at least 40wrms/side to get the very best
out of these. With a well matched amp, they are
a delight to listen to.
The
long baffle make the ARGOS Tapered Pipe
a great possibility for custom and unusual
finishes.
