Appearance: Muffy is 5'5" tall and weighs 125lbs (57 kg). She is now eighteen years old.

Background: Muffy grew up in an unhappy home in one of the many ghettos of her home world. Her parents (who inconsiderately named her after their favourite breakfast food) were poor and without prospects: it's difficult to conceive that they produced such a brilliant child. Despite growing up with her mom whacked out on happy pills and her dad bringing his "girlfriends" home whenever he had the money, Muffy did very well at school. Well enough, in fact, to be assigned to medical school after finishing compulsory learning at age fifteen, every though she was female.

For the first year of medical school, Muffy lived at home, struggling to study while supporting herself financially. When dad threatened to sell her personal computer for some quick money, Muffy packed and left. Living by herself created immediate financial difficulties, and she wasn't qualified for any sort of work except one: Muffy went to a nightclub and had sex with two men for cash.

Finding safe places to work was difficult, as Peach (Muffy's street alias) found out the hard way more than once. Eventually, she was recruited by a pimp, Max. Although working for Max reduced her net income, it made the work safer. Max also introduced her to Adam, who made adult entertainment videos. Muffy liked Adam, and enjoyed working for him. Adam made sure she was well paid for her performances, and Muffy spent time with him to keep in Adam's good books.

One evening, when Muffy dropped by Adam's living space and studio, she found Frederick the cameraman editing a video of beggars and cripples. When she asked what he was doing, Frederick explained that he was a member of The Resistance, preparing a video expounding the mistreatment of the socially marginalised by the Federation. Listening to Frederick speak reminded Muffy of the injustice in her life, and how the Federation never treated her fairly. Moved, she told Frederick that she wanted to join The Resistance.

The cell that Muffy joined was not large, and limited itself to producing videos for sale to concerned members of the wealthy classes and secretly posting notices in public places criticising the Federation. For the first time in her life, Muffy was motivated and doing something she enjoyed. She felt that she was a valued and useful member of The Resistance, and stopped regularly attending medical school. Muffy was expelled at the end of third year for not attending enough classes, but she didn't care.

Muffy was happy for several months, but starting finding herself with too much spare time on her hands. Being a revolutionary was exhilarating, but you did things infrequently at best: she needed something to fill up the days. Muffy decided to take up a position in an illegal clinic, where her medical and surgical skills could help people like herself who didn't receive Federation assistance. Unfortunately, the clinic was a police front to capture criminally inclined doctors, and Muffy found herself in a cell waiting to be shipped off to the colony Alpheratz Prime.

Things were looking bleak, but there was a fight in the holding pen and Muffy was put in a cell with two men (Matt and Wulf) and another woman (Haze). Together, they escaped on a commandeered shuttle to an incredible spaceship hidden in orbit above her homeworld, then began their efforts to weaken the Federation's hold on power. In time, they made their way to less regimented worlds like Satellite City, and started meeting aliens (including the cat-like Felthra). Eventually, the galaxy erupted into a wide-ranging conflict: when it finished, the Federation had collapsed and human-alien relations had been restored. Muffy settled down on Satellite City, where she's a minor celebrity and adult television star.

Roleplaying Notes: Muffy is young and vibrant, full of energy and righteous determination. Despite her difficult and often unpleasant past, she is an optimist who looks for the best in people and expects to find it. Although she can be flippant and immature, Muffy is usually responsible and level-headed. She trusts Matt and Wulf and likes them both, and will stand by Haze no matter what. Muffy feels personally responsible for the deaths of many Felthra in the recent war because the four of them led the conflict to their homeworld, and will do anything she can to help a Felthra in need.
