This chronology of events is written from Sheyana's perspective. It is not an exhaustive account of the entire group's actions, or even of all Sheyana's activities: however, it covers the key events of the campaign, and should provide a skeleton around which individual players can build more detailed and personalised notes.
The session column indicates session number, the players attending (by initial of first name), the date on which we played and the XP awarded. The date column indicates the game date using the Amaran (human) calendar. The events column summarises important occurrences on that date.

| 70 DGKNS (10/03/04) | Saturday 13/7/L4 | The envoys distribute the silvered and magic weapons among themselves, setting aside the two magic wands for the church; Susanna spends the rest of the day casting a spell to identify the magical properties of the wands, longbow, shield, and arrows; she identifies the wand from the cache at the wizard's house as a wand for summoning monsters, while the wand from the demon's treasure trove is a wand for beguiling people; after identifying the weapons, Susanna still has sufficient power to identify the full properties of Sheyana's shortsword, including its name, Soulfire, that Sheyana can trigger the aura of flames by naming the sword while heating it in a fire, and that the aura of flames will become more powerful once Sheyana has dealt a killing blow with the flaming sword; unfortunately, Susanna doesn't have sufficient power to identify the full properties of Jilawarr; at sunset, Taranell leads the villagers and envoys in more prayers for the dead; that night, Sheyana heats her shortsword and states its name, Soulfire; when she removes it from the fire, it remains sheathed in flames, which she can turn on and off by naming the sword; Susanna sends a second magic message back to Salariel about what was found in the circle of stones, that the envoys are going into the mountains after the slavers, and asking for additional supplies to help the destitute villagers; Sheyana tells the other envoys that she intends to leave her share of the demon women's treasure, some 200 GP, with the villagers so that they can buy additional supplies and tools as they need. |
| Sunday 14/7/L4 | The envoys prepare to depart; Elindyll gives the villages 200 GP on Sheyana's behalf; a man asks Elindyll for his deceased wife's ring, which is in the part of the treasure Elindyll was keeping on behalf of the envoys; Elindyll finds the ring and throws it towards the man; the ring falls at the man's feet, and he picks it up and leaves without thanking Elindyll; the envoys leave and travel west into the mountains; that night, a giant named Smash threatens to kill the envoys if they don't give him their money, but quickly changes his tune when Elindyll injures him with three arrows; Smash tells the envoys he knows a lot about what's happening in the mountains, but insists on being paid a gold coin for each question he answers so that he can one day buy a wife; the envoys confirm that they're on the right track to find the slavers, but don't take up Smash's offer of directions to the red dragon's lair because they don't believe from previous answers that Smash's directions will be sufficiently detailed; Smash refuses to guide them to the dragon's lair, and eventually the envoys allow him to leave; Sheyana warns him not to rob people in the future, but Smash doesn't seem to take the warning to heart; after he leaves, the envoys relocate their camp and keep a guarded watch for the rest of the night. | |
| Monday 15/7/L4 |
Sheyana prays at dawn; while she prays, Susanna talks with Taranell about how she felt watched all the time when she was attempting to prepare her spells, and was so unnerved that she didn't prepare any spells; while the envoys travel, Susanna and Sheyana talk about the ominous presence constantly watching Susanna; the envoys are attacked by a giant scorpion, which Pera stuns with a well-timed blow before Kerrak rips it apart with his claws; that evening, Susanna sleeps near Sheyana for protection from evil; a dire wolf passes near the camp, panicking Elindyll when he's on watch with Taranell; Elindyll follows the dire wolf, flying invisibly above it, and kills it with four arrows; Taranell wakes Sheyana, who tells Elindyll off for flying off by himself without telling anyone where he's going or what he's doing; later that night, Susanna wakes from a nightmare of a black cloud forming overhead while the envoys travel through the mountains; Elindyll hears wolves howling in the night, and spots one near the campsite, but doesn't go off hunting a second time. |

| Tuesday 16/7/L4 | Susanna still feels watched all the time, and tells the other envoys she believes she's attracting undue attention to the group, putting them all in danger; Susanna decides to teleport back to Salariel while she still can, and seek help from the church Elders; Elindyll starts to say goodbye in the Elvish fashion, and Susanna unintentionally cuts him off partway through and starts giving everyone goodbye hugs; when it's his turn, Elindyll holds out his hand for her to shake "like a human"; Susanna gives Elindyll her remaining magic scrolls of sending and invisibility, plus her collection of six pearls for use when identifying magic items, and Elindyll gives her a green gem he found in the caves of Wideneld; Sheyana tells Susanna she can keep the waterproof cloak Sheyana lended to her, and Susanna gives Sheyana her scarf with Elven embroidery; Susanna goes off, escorted by Sheyana, to teleport away from the others so that the evil force can't see them as well; Sheyana senses an evil presence briefly when Susanna teleports away, but it doesn't linger. |
