Information About the Group
We are a group of woodworkers located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales. Our aim is to promote fine craftmanship and maintain traditional skills of working with timber. Among our members are cabinet makers, carvers, woodturners patternmakers, toymakers and modellers. Some of our members are actively involved in woodworking trades, there are others whose daily occupation has nothing to do with wood but feel the need to create shavings to maintain some stability in life.
The group meets at 7:15pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the group's workshop (see location link for a map. There is usually a workshop held at the same location on the Sunday following the monthly meeting.
The group has a weekly toy workshop, held every Monday from 9:30am to 2:00pm. The toys are made for various local charities Christmas toy drives.
