A work in progress
There are 5 basic Obverse types and 2 basic Reverse types. These come in numerous combinations and varieties.
5 Obverse Types - Fasces under bust, Legend under bust, No legend,
Young head and Sideburn head (The last two with the legend over the bust).
2 Reverse Types - Standing Justice and Sitting Justice.
I suggest you identify the Obverse first.
The images below are some obvious ones, click on an image which resembles
your example. The link will take you to the one off example or a comparison
of very similar examples.

Obverse
| Facses under bust - #5 . The only obverse with a beaded border. | |
| Legend under bust - on #4, 9 & 21. This obverse comes with 3 different reverses. | |
| No legend, bust facing left - on #6, 7 & 8. This obverse is
only mated with the standing Justice. A comparison of the obverses. |

| Young head - 2 different obverses with 2 different reverses. | |
| Sideburn head - 5 different obverses with numerous different reverses. | |

Stop after legend - 2 different obverses with 4 different reverses. |

Beaded border - The only reverse with a beaded border. This is mated with 2 obverses. |

| Spiky hair - This is mated with 4 different obverses. |
Die Flaws or Faults
While these flaws are unique to a particular die, some pieces may not have
the flaw.
| Reverse 6 - Die crack from approx 1 o'clock, between the
scale pans, to approx 5 o'clock. #12. Die cracks are progressive, examples of #12 have been found with no crack, to ones with a bold crack from rim to rim. |

| Reverse 8 - Break in the border ring at 9 o'clock. #14. | |

Other flaws or faults - Obverse C - Die crack from the rim at approx 6 o'clock, beside the M to the bust. Legend under bust type. #4, 9 & 21. |
