Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
Ingredients
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tsps sugar
- 15 g compressed yeast
- 2 cups bread flour
- 30 g butter
- pinch salt
Method
- Heat milk to lukewarm.
- Add sugar and yeast and stand in a warm place until bubbles form on the surface (~10 minutes)
- Combine flour and salt and rub in butter.
- Add yeast mixture to the flour mixture.
- Knead dough on a floured board into a ball.
- Place in an oiled bowl, cover and set aside until the dough has doubled in size (~30 minutes)
- Reknead dough and cut into rounds.
- Deep fry until golden brown. While warm roll in sugar and cinnamon or fill with berry jam and roll in sugar.
Notes
- Makes a dozen.
- Need to be eaten same day.
