Flourless chocolate cake
Ingredients
- 150g butter
- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g almondmeal
- 150g castor sugar
- 5 eggs, separated
Method
- Melt butter and chocolate over hot water.
- Mix in almond meal.
- Beat egg yolks and castor sugar.
- Add chocolate mixtuire to this mixture.
- Beat egg whites into stiff peaks.
- Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture.
- Place in springform pan.
- Bake in preheated moderate oven for forty minutes.
- Leave in pan to cool.
Notes
- Makes one large cake.
- This cake can be eaten warm or cold but is best cold!
