Pear gingerbread

Method

  1. Cook butter, sugar and solden syrup over medium heat until butter melted and mixture smooth.
  2. Set aside to cool.
  3. Cut pears into approx 16 even slices and place arrange over base of two round baking dishes.
  4. Add egg to butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Sift flours, bicarb and ginger together and add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk.
  6. pour mixture over pears.
  7. Bake in preheated hot oven for ~50 minutes.
