Welcome to a virtual field trip of a mangrove swamp!
The preliminary Biology course in NSW starts with the topic "A local ecosystem". A major part of that topic is the completion of a field study in the local ecosystem. This website has been designed to serve two purposes. Firstly as a practice session for students about to complete a field study and secondly as a replacement for those students who are physically unable to go into the field to complete their study.
As you make your way through the pages you will cover the syllabus points as you go.
To begin, as with any field study, we are going to look around our study area and get a feel for the task ahead.
