Largest Australian flag flies above the Lakes
January 2 2008
At 66 metres long and 28 metres high, Australia's largest Australian Flag will be the centrepiece of the Australia Day festivities at Sydney International Regatta Centre on 26th January 2008.
The flag (15 000 square feet) will fly beneath a helicopter on three separate occasions: during the spectacular aquatic stunt shows throughout the day and also in the course of the main stage entertainment in the evening.
Aquatic Stunt shows return once more in 2008, even bigger and more spectacular with two helicopters performing daring routines above the competition lake. The thrilling stunt shows also include bold jet ski stunt routines, freestyle water ski jumping, backwards barefoot skiing, comedy boats and water ballet. In addition, Australia's finest wake boarders will compete in the finals of the Australian Pro Wake Board tour.
The Aquatic Ski and Helicopter Spectacular is a fast-paced, high-octane aqua show, with extreme stunt acts choreographed to adrenalin charging music. Jack Ellison H2O Entertainment is providing the aquatic stunt shows. The company has produced amazing special effect performances such as The Baywatch Water Ski Show; the Opening Ceremony of the Seoul Olympics; and has been marine coordinator for ‘Mission Impossible 2’ providing Tom Cruise with stunt advice.
