Not far from the highway between Krabi and Trang we found Khaokob Mountain, surrounded by a canal which is surrounded by rubber plantations. The seven of us took a boat trip into the cave under the mountain. The guides, fortunately, have learned a few important English phrases like ‘mind you head’. You duck to get in, as can be seen in the first two photos on the left. We did get to get out of the boat occasionally and stretch our legs but as you can see, ducking was the order of the day — especially at the end of the journey. For the last 300 metres (see last two photos) we were required to lie back in each others laps and watch the ceiling often only centimetres above our faces.
