How Konnect Helps
Kaiyu Konnect provides an environment where you can be supported in achieving your goals in life.
Kaiyu Konnect offers people with a mental illness the opportunity to build their skills, stamina and confidence.
People who attend Konnect are members and are equally involved in all aspects of Konnect operations.
Members work side by side with staff, sharing equally in decision making.
Participation in Kaiyu Konnect is voluntary.

Kaiyu Konnect is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm.

Kaiyu Konnect provides opportunities to build your confidence, self-esteem and skills, and to develop friendships.
You must have:
- A history of mental illness;
- Be at least 18 years of age; and
- Have a desire to be a member of the Kaiyu Konnect community.
You do not need a referral from your doctor or care co-ordinator
Our Youth Program - KKEIP well
The Kaiyu Konnect Early Intervention Program (KKEIP well) is designed to support young people who are in their first few years of experiencing symptoms of mental illness. The program is designed to help participants through this difficult, confusing and often isolating time by supporting them in developing better mental health.

Becoming a Member of Kaiyu Konnect
You do not have to be a member to attend Kaiyu, all you need to do is visit us. After meeting us and seeing what we do, you can then decide if you want to join. It will help us if you phone before you come so we are expecting you.
For a small fee you can join Kaiyu Konnect. You can be a member for as long as you like.
Finding Us
Kaiyu Konnect is based at the Community Hall in Argenton. We are fairly well linked with public transport. Many buses in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie travel to Glendale Supercentre which is just down the road from us.

Trains
If you are travelling by train you need to get off at Cockle Creek station. We are about a 15 minute walk from the station. If you want you can wait for a bus and then it is just a three minute walk.

Government Buses
Government buses operate in the Newcastle and East Lake areas. You can get one of the buses going to Glendale and either get off at the traffic lights in Argenton or at the Glendale Supercentre.

Sugarvalley and Toronto Buses
Toronto and Sugarvalley Bus Services also travel to Glendale.
