Ian Gunn Memorial Fund

The Ian Gunn Memorial Fund was established early 1999.

Ian left somewhere between 3,000 - 5,000 cartoons as his legacy. He had a bad habit of sending off the originals earlier in his career so many are lost (by the way, if you do have any Ian Gunn original cartoons, a copy would be very well received).

Ian's talent was recognised by the fannish community in 1999 when he won the Fan Artist Hugo - the first fan artist in Australia to do so and only the third Australian to win one. Of course, anyone who has seen one of Ian's cartoons knows how talented and funny he was.

It has three purposes:

There are basically two ways the fund raises money - by donations and from sales of Ian's artwork that I have and will produce.

Items available from the fund include:

Be Prepared - A newly discovered Ian Gunn cartoon book. This items will help you prepare for those diasters in life - flood, shipwreck, alien invasion, etc - and have a laugh at the same time! $10 if I hand it to you, $12 is posted within Victoria, $14 for the rest of Australia. Overseas postage on request.

1995 GUFF Trip Report - The trip report of Karen and Ian and their epic journey to the UK to attend the Worldcon in Glasgow. Support the Fan Funds! $6 if I hand it to you, $8 posted, overseas on request.

Sex : The Euphemism List - Combined publication of Karen and Ian. It started as a joke - honest! 20 pages of almost good, clean fun. $4 if handed to you, $6 if posted.

Bookmarks - a small piece of Ian's work on a laminated bookmark, available for a donation to the Memorial fund.

Laminated Posters - on request.
