I grew up in
Sydney, Australia on the Northern Beaches at
North Curl Curl.

I moved to Brighton in Brisbane, Australia in 2011.

I have been researching my family tree history for around 15 years now and love it!
I have come across lots of interesting information and family "secrets"!
Plus I have met wonderful relatives!

My current research objective is to put together a history on all my ancestors that came out to Australia in the 19^th Century. 
All my direct ancestors arrived into Australia between 1811 and 1885.

* My mother's maiden name is LANG

* My ancestors came to Australia from:
ENGLAND; SCOTLAND; IRELAND; NORTHERN IRELAND; NORWAY and INDIA (British East Indies)

* My FIRST direct ancestor to Australia was Samuel WHITEHALL (WHITTAL).
Samuel arrived aboard the convict ship ADMIRAL GAMBIER II in 1811 from England.

* My LAST direct ancestor to Australia was Ole DIDRIKSEN.
Ole arrived aboard the ship, GULF OF VENICE, in 1885 as part of the crew. Ole was from Norway.

I recently visited (Jan 2012) Woodburn Cemetery in Northern NSW where my 3^rd Great Grandparents, James and Sarah LANG are buried, plus other LANG relatives.

MY MEMBERSHIPS:

I am a current (now distant) member of the Ryde District Historical and Family History Society.

The Family History group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10am at
"Willandra", 770 Victoria Rd, Ryde NSW Australia.
