Naturopath

 

 

Liza is a naturopathic practitioner, educator, writer and broadcaster. She initially graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) from the Australian College of Natural Medicine and later completed a Graduate Certificate in Evidence Based Complementary Medicine at the University of Queensland and Southern Cross University.

She is a contributing author to "Herbs & Natural Supplements - An evidence based guide" (Elsevier, 2007) and "Complementary therapies & the management of diabetes & vascular disease" (Wiley, 2006). Liza conducts tutorials in 'Health Enhancement' and 'Complementary Medicine in Chronic Conditions' at Monash University (Dept of General Practice) and runs online courses in 'Food as Medicine' for RMIT University. She supervises naturopathic student clinics and has previously taught nutrition at Endeavour College of Natural Health and the Southern School of Natural Therapies. She has been a regular voice Melbourne radio for a number of years.

As a practitioner her approach is one of personal care and attention combined with scientific knowledge and research. Her aim is to empower people to improve their vitality and well-being by providing them with dietary and lifestyle advice and [where necessary] safe and effective remedies.

Liza is currently completing post-graduate research studies at RMIT University looking at toxin levels in people who consume organic and conventional diets.
