I'll shut up now :-) (n/t) (03-Aug-1999 17:49:01) Ashley: Discounting all of the impossibilities described in that post (Paul on two years ago???) one fact remains: It's improvised. (n/t) (03-Aug-1999 17:36:07) Muran: *phew* ok, I just wanted to make sure...I shouldn't have doubted... (n/t) (03-Aug-1999 17:52:18) Lisa: It's okay Muran, having your doubts eliminated makes your faith in the great Whose Line religion even stronger! (n/t) (04-Aug-1999 00:40:28) Scott R.: Another impossibility: Paul Merton and Steve Frost have never appeared together in an episode. (n/t) (03-Aug-1999 22:54:48) Theories... (03-Aug-1999 18:33:07) dana: you know, that is a good idea... maybe i'll make myself some of those cards next time... :) then my suggestions wouldn't get thrown out so fast... :) (n/t) (03-Aug-1999 19:17:08) dana: kind of like this one! (click for PICTURE) (04-Aug-1999 19:35:56) Mark: As in, like, where the sheet for Party Quirks says "These suggestions have worked well in the past..."? (n/t) (03-Aug-1999 20:19:54) Yeah, exactly. Just b/c they may have given someone a scrap w/suggestion doesn't mean the players know what they are. There do happen to be suggestions on cards at Clive's desk. geez (n/t) (04-Aug-1999 11:28:57) -- Mark Longmuir - longmuir@labyrinth.net.au Homepage: http://www.labyrinth.net.au/~longmuir/ Whose Line is it Anyway? - http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Lot/8451 "Stop tap dancing, you fool!" --------------------------------------------------------------------- [Inside The Web] [Image] [Get FREE Message Board] [Image] Whose Board is it, Anyway? IT's a great show. I've been watching it here in the UK for years and now the Comedy Channel has gone back to the days of John Session and is showing it again from the start. Sessions is by far the best comedian I've seen on Whose Line... IT's a great show but if you beleive that it is improvesed you are sadly mistaked. I went along to a taping about 2 years ago and me and a friend got their for the afternoon shoot and after it we got a chance to meet the guys (it was Tony, Ryan, Paul Merton and Steve oh and Richard Vranch on the Piano) They were all really nice and chatty and they gave me and before the start of the evening shoot the floor manager gave me and my friend a piece of paper each and told us to read it when he told us to. It was movie styles. I had to shout out the movie style on the paper when Clive asked the audience for suggestions. My friend had Thunderbirds and I had Masterpiece Theatre (whatever that is) it was all a very cool, but weird, experiance. So? Is this true? That makes me sad =( I hope its not true Muran ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Message thread: Muran: WLiia? Like Colin says, if improv is done poorly, people think it sucks. If it's done well, people think it's fake. Good ideas are hard to come by, and you don't want to sit there half an hour to find one. And they probably don't tell the players the things on the cards, like in other games. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Message thread: Muran: WLiia?
