They're hilareous. Donna and Tash also saw them I think in Austin at their Comedy Festival (I could be wrong about the location). To check out their site go to: http://www.improvasylum.com. I still remember one game, it was sort of like Party Quirks. The two quirks I remember were an astronaut discovering the outer reaches of a supermarket and a woman obsessed with a jello mold shaped like Kermit the Frog. I can't remember the other guy's quirk. I almost died laughing that night. I was the one who suggested Kermit the Frog btw. :) Molly ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Message thread: dana: the Really Spontaneous Theatre Company (05-Aug-1999 00:17:31) Molly: I have another great improv group for you to see (05-Aug-1999 00:41:53) Jim Meskimen: Re: the Really Spontaneous Theatre Company (05-Aug-1999 01:02:32) Sam: Grr...it's times like this I wish I could get to LA. I just wanted to mention that the dates of shows may be stale: we are actually performing right now! Here's the data: Dear Theatre-lover, We are very pleased to announce that the Really Spontaneous Theatre Company will perform their incredible improvised one-act plays all through the month of August for your enjoyment. These days, especially in summer, it is common to go to a big blockbuster and come away bored or feeling cheated. And why not? The stories are unoriginal, the special effects soulless, and the performances lackluster. What do they lack? Spontanaeity! The immediacy of being live and in person! Risky and wondrous performances! All the things that the RSTC delivers that sets them apart from other entertainment forms! So come and have a hearty laugh and enjoy real entertainment that doesn't come out of a committee of non-creative executives. Isn't it time you had a night out that was really fun, really uplifting, really spontaneous? Of course it is! THE REALLY SPONTANEOUS THEATRE COMPANY PERFORMING FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS AT 8PM at The Third Stage, 2811 West Magnolia, Burbank, CA admission: $15 Group rates available For information and reservations, Call (323) 969-4991 See you there!
